If you are like me and appreciate the looks of the OEM seat on your motorbike, but are unhappy with the comfort, then you should try this Airhawk cushion.
Airhawk offers an unconditional return policy for 30 days on these cushions, so you can try it out, risk free. But once you try it, you'll probably keep it like I did.
The "R" model pad is a new design and is supposed to alleviate the pressure and discomfort that male riders experience during prolonged rides. For the most part, the new "channel" down the center of the cushion and the reshaped cutaway in the front of the cushion work for me. I've been using it almost everyday for over a month and have not had any problems with the "numbness" I have often experienced riding atop the OEM seat.
I also have done some dirt riding with this cushion in place. Sometimes in does "squirm" around a bit, creating an unsettling effect, but once you get used to the feeling, it is not a problem. The cushion remains in place by straps that are routed under the OEM seat. It is easy to detach and lock away in saddlebags, when you leave the bike.
I first ran into ROHO products when I worked in a hospital during college. Their products are well engineered and really work, as evidenced by their use in critical care applications.

use on harley ultra classic limited, passenger seat. rubber bottom on cover has good grip, sewn well. bladder seems durable and strong. metal fill valve easy to use and secure. takes several attempts to get the right amount of air adjusteddoes not need much. came with straps and patch kit which i have not used. a bit sweaty in the hot months in florida but what isn't, so i only use it for long trips then... i use on top of my bead-riders (which rock in the rain) and pop it under my jacket when we hit rain so i'm not sitting in a puddle/wet seat... in cool months it cuts down on wind through beads so i use it constantly then; easy toss in saddlebag when i run in for a food stop/rest. tailbone cut-out is a super plus of comfort.i purchased this version thinking the bigger the better, but i guess my butt is not as big as i think it is... i'm thinking the small pillion version would have worked better for me because you do not fill this up all the wayonly just enough to keep your butt floating on air... i can still make this work but think the smaller one would be better for my size because the air distributes to the areas i'm not sitting on/contacting and it'd be best to contact the full or most of surface area... that said, it's still a butt saver and cuts down on fatigue on 300-500+ mile days... big time! just keep rocking with the music for a butt massage...
update: after a few months the cover developed a run, but everything else good. i did order the small pillion version and while i do think the size is better, it does take more adjustments to get the smaller pad in the right place under butt/on seat; and on my dismount it comes off with me where the R/AHR fits entire seat with little adjustment and never falls off. plus tailbone cut-out on R/AHR is definitely a huge help. just got back from our 3 corners trip this summer~ would not have wanted to do that trip without the R/AHR~ 400-500+, even a few 600 mile days; 10,270 miles in 5 weeks!!! >;}

Used this for a trip up to Alaska on my motorcycle and it was a lifesaver. I could go all day in comfort thanks to this pad. And it was remarkably durable because I can't tell you how many times I hit it with my boot getting on and off the bike. And maybe most amazing is the thing holds air and doesn't go flat over time. I never had to fill it once in 10 days. Impressive quality and a nicely designed product. (Does come with a 'sleeve' or cover, and that was well designed, too.)Honest reviews on Airhawk Airhawk R Seat Pad AHR
Anyone taller than 6ft 3 knows nothing is built for your comfort. After moving my foot controls 3 inches forward, I still set at the very back of the seat. I tried an expensive after market seat that set me lower and moved me forward. I went back to the O E M seat. It took several attempts to get the air just right. People ask me what good it does with no air in it.. It does look flat. There is a thought that it needs more air. With more air there are several "balloons" under your butt. As the air pressure is reduced, the "balloons" flatten out and distribute pressure evenly. It raises me up just a bit and makes the ride more comfortable for the longer rides. I did not give it 5 stars because it is not the best ride I am hopeful to get.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Airhawk Airhawk R Seat Pad AHR
I traded in the old bike with a Corbin seat for a spanking new Honda with a stock seat. Ouch. After 3 hours it was agony. I researched add-ons and liked the reviews for this Airhawk. Glad I did. I have already done 6+ hours with no discomfort. This is well worth the money.May update I've since done a bunch of riding, including 5+ hours. This seat is really good. I have not had any more comfort problems whatsoever. Highly recommended.
