I installed 2 of these top front strut seats onto Bilstein B4 twin-tube struts while doing the entire front end over on my 98 Corolla LE. This spring seat comes with a rubber isolator that fits loosely inside of it. After a day of driving, I noticed creeking noises coming from my front end when I started off from a stop. It turns out the rubber isolator (THAT SHOULD OF BEEN DESIGNED TO STAY IN PLACE) had crept out from in between the spring and metal seat, thus, leaving metal to metal contact between the spring and seat. I had to take out the strut and disassemble it, then put it back together correctly. I used a dab of super glue to hold it in place during reassembly BECAUSE MOOG FAILED TO DESIGN IT SO THE ISOLATOR IS FIRMLY ATTACHED TO THE METAL SEAT. I also had a MOOG rear lower isolator creep out from under the spring during assembly of the strut, but it was much easier to see before I installed it into the car, so I was able to fix it. Shame on MOOG! If MOOG reimburses me for my second front-end alignment and my time wasted ($100.) I will rewrite this review. Other than that, I will do everyhing I can to let people know about them not improving this poor design.
