I picked up this custom fit folded sunshade for a Honda Ridgeline to help keep the temperature down in my car when its sitting in the Texas sun. Thus far its made a notable difference in keeping the car cooler while its sitting in the sun.
The shade itself is durable, lightweight and is about 1/3" thick. (Another tip, if you have a sunroof; tilt it open just a bit if there is no chance of rain. This allows the hottest air to escape the car/truck.)
