I purchased these Monroe quick-struts 2 1/2 years ago to replace a broken coil spring on my wife's 02 Focus (a common problem for that vintage Focus, thanks Ford). They were ideal for my situation because I got the whole spring/strut assembly for about what I would have paid for just springs. As a bonus, I didn't have to mess around with compressing the springs, as it was just a matter of bolting the new assembly into place. They were an exact replacement fit and they ride the same as the stock spring/struts (note: the car seemed to ride 'higher' for a few months, but the springs have since settled in). I would have reviewed them earlier but after installing them, I began hearing faint suspension related noises and held off until I tracked down the source. That turned out to be a failing motor mount (again, thanks Ford). Long story short, I completely forgot to review these struts. So with the hindsight of 2 1/2 years and 28,000 miles, I can report they are still working beautifully. No leaks at the struts, springs are in good shape, and an overall stock like handling suspension.

I have the spring compressors and have changed out several sets of struts. The Quick strut decreases the time involved to perform the work and include additional parts, such as the top bearing, that frequently are not replaced. For the additional cost replacing the entire strut assembly is now my preferred way to go.

I bought a set of these Strut Assemblies for a 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 which had a broken spring. Installation was relatively easy after watching a good YouTube video on the steps. The vehicle now rides like new again, albeit a little like a Buick at first. The springs have since settled down after a week of driving and now feel like "normal". The price on pair of these struts saved me over $40 from where I could get them locally, and hundreds of dollars on installation on what a shop would charge.
