Installed this strut with mate 271680 on a 1997 Camry. It's easier to install these rear struts after removing the rear seat and package tray (instructions found on web). It all took a couple of hours using a floor jack, a couple of jack stands, and a 150 ft lb torque wrench. Comfortable, slightly firm ride. The old setup ( 90k miles ) had totally worn out springs and shocks causing rear wheel rub with just 2 people in the back. It's fine now. Painless stock replacements. Probably saved $100 per wheel in labor.

Roger Aiken, SC. Quick-Strut saved me from being commited in an asylum. After 4 attempts involving installing and removing the regular strut/spring/mount individual parts in my unsuccessful attempts to tighten mount to point where it would stop clunking, I ordered and installed the right rear Q-S as a last-ditch experiment. It worked-no more rattle (at least as of a week later). Unit is sooo easy compared to regular unit ,which requires a spring compressor. Only complaint is the shallow nuts for mount studs: really tough to get at when nuts disappear below surrounding chassis area. Toyota's are much deeper and easy to keep a wrench on. Biggest complaint? UPS (AKA Upset,Pound, Scrunch. First delivery, box and unit damaged, second attempt, only box damaged. Autoparts 123 and Monroe techs very helpful. However, Autoparts 123 ran out of the desired unit in their inventory, but they had one shipped to me directly from Monroe.

I bought these Monroe Quick-Struts to replace a set of Gabriels that I put on the rear end of my ES300 only 3 years ago. Having the strut available like this completely loaded and ready to put in was so nice that I would be willing to pay a premium for it even though it really wasn't much extra compared to buying a strut, mount, boot, etc. all separately especially at Amazon's pricing. Three years ago when I put on the Gabriels it was an all day job and I was swearing up a storm, and this time around it only took about four hours which half of was spent trying to get the sway bar links detached from the old struts without destroying them. Great product, I hope to see them available for the front eventually.

Unit bolted right on. Needed an alignment afterwards. Only complaint is the struts make a low clunk noise on bumps. All torques are correct so it is the strut.

Newbie auto mechanic here. Took me a good 4 hours to put in the struts (front only). Very straight forward (watched videos on youtube and reviewed haynes manual to get acclimated to process). Hardest part was 1) breaking the nuts/bolts off 12 year old Toyota 2) getting the sway bar link back onto the strut. Torqued all nuts per specs. Car rides 10x better (though will be better once I get to the rear struts...not in a hurry to do those though). No longer bottoming out on things such as speed bumps so exactly what I wanted. Waiting a couple of days for the struts to settle before I get an alignment. Saved a few hundred dollars in part cost/labor and more importantly, learning more about how cars work so I'm very happy. Highly recommend this product
