I don't normally write reviews and often find more value in the negative reviews than the positive ones but, the GROM I amazing. I have been shopping for a Bluetooth system for my car and GROM is the best option without question. I just installed the system last night within 30 minutes. I bought the extra charging cable but found I didn't need it as I could change songs on my iPhone with the Bluetooth dongle. Bottom line don't waste your mobey on a new stereo BUY THE GROM!

I just installed one of these in my 2001 Audi TT and everything went pretty smoothly. I bought a specific kit including everything needed for my specific model though, so if I were you I'd communicate with whoever you order this from before ordering to make sure you're ordering the right adapter and all of the parts you're going to need. Make sure you order from someone willing to help you get the right parts and who will help answer installation questions.

The main thing to ask before buying one of these adapters is whether you should just buy a new head unit instead. If you buy a GROM-IPD3 with the iPod cable, Bluetooth audio/handsfree interface, and the RCA/phono aux cable, the total price will probably be about the same as the price for a whole new head unit that does all of these things and maybe others as well.

So consider whether there is some reason why you might not just want a new head unit before buying this. If you don't want to change the "OEM look" or there's some other reason for not replacing the OEM head unit, an adapter like this one is a pretty good option.
