I haven't had the need to use this to break glass or cut off a seat belt yet, but everything I've seen on youtube makes me think that this will be great in an emergency. I gave my wife one and have one attached to my Go Bag/Emergency Bag. I had originally purchased a knife with a pointed steel hilt in case I needed to break glass but this appears to be able to do the job in a much more compact and efficient manner.
