This product includes the mirror, the outer casing the mirror sits in, and the electrical wiring. It comes exactly as the picture shows, so there is no assembly of the mirror required. It even comes with the necessary bolts and insulation to attach the mirror casing to the car.

Note: you still need to do assembly for attaching the mirror casing to the car, but the mirror, itself, is already set up inside the mirror casing.

The part installed properly and was the right size, but the view I get through the mirror is not good at all. It presents a wavy image with very large distortions near the edges. For example, utility poles that are straight in real life are curved when looking into the mirror. The effect while moving is that objects appear to flex and distort as they move through the mirror field of view. The distortion is quite noticeable even from the back seat or passenger side when I asked my family to check it out.
