I was going to buy in seat DVD players but have two iPads...so this was my cheaper attempt and it is amazing. The brackets are 75.00 cheaper than brand name but work awesome...hold firm. Buy a Seagate satellite wifi HDD and put some movies along with two Bluetooth headsets and you are setup with an awesome entertainment system. Seagate satellite let's up to 5 devices stream from a custom GUI so everyone gets their own movie. This is the future.....awesome brackets are the starting point and these fit the trick.

This item does what it was designed to do.... HOWEVER, in the pictures it gave me the illusion that it would tilt and turn towards the middle which is where I sit my daughter in her car seat... Highly disappointed that it doesn't. I bought it specifically for that reason.

We recently used this mount with our Kindle Fire on 2 road trips to entertain our toddler in the back seat. It worked great.

Because of the way the seats in our Chevy Traverse are designed the mount is just barely able to grab the bars of the headrest due to the cushioning from the seat being in the way. When I first installed it I thought it wasn't going to fit, but thankfully the pieces that grab the bars are long enough to reach. Once tightened down, and with the pressure of the back of the mount against the seat cushion, the mount is very secure.

Although not an issue for us, I could see how the height at which the mount sits is prone to a toddler kicking it.

The mount pivots up/down and forward/backward from the viewer, but not right/left so, as another reviewer mentioned, it would NOT work for rotating toward the middle of the back seat. This was not an issue for us since our toddler's seat is directly behind the front passenger seat, but wanted to mention it since the description and images do not make it clear that the mount does NOT rotate right/left.

Adjustable plastic piece snapped 5 minutes into the car ride. iPad fell out of the unit and onto the floor. I will be spending a bit more for an item that won't break and possibly damage my iPad.
