This page's Technical Details are inaccurate, when it states the product "mounts to cars seat rail OR floor board".

The only problem I encountered with this mount was that it did not include an acceptable means of mounting this to a vehicle's floor board. I had to utilize an existing seat bolt.

I expected to have to drill holes in the floorboard, but there was no included mounting plate appropriate for doing that, nor any screws for the same.

I could probably come up with a metal screw sufficient to hold it down, but because of the way the mounting plates are made it would only be a single screw, and I would rather have at least two, if not four screws holding it down.

I was able to mount it using one of the bolts that hold down my passenger's seat, but it's close enough to the corner of that seat that a passenger's legs will hit it despite being angled away from the seat, and put pressure on the post that I don't want. I could attach it to a driver's seat bolt, but it would get in the way of console items I need access to.

Overall it's a very sturdy all-steel mount (except for the tightening plates and tablet holder), and I expect I'll be much happier with it than a goose-neck mount, for the price. It would be nice if the tablet holder had a spring release button, but I don't think it's a huge issue. The strength of the internal spring(s) make inserting my tablet no easy task, and I'd be worried about damaging the tablet's casing if I didn't use an Otterbox case on it. The Otterbox adds about 3/8" of an inch in width to my tablet, which of course makes the fit even tighter.

I've uploaded a picture of the mount holding my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. Included with the mount but not pictured were two alternative tablet clamps to accommodate a wide range of 7" 10" tablets. A 10" tablet would be mounted in the holder with the clamps at the top and bottom of the tab (if you use it in landscape mode).

Using the alternative shorter tablet clamps, which shorten the distance between the clamps, they were too far apart to mount my tablet with the clamps on the top and bottom (in landscape).

A call to the manufacturer regarding the floor board mount has not yet been returned.
