The mount works overall very well. My only issue is with the ball that allows the mount to rotate on the arm. The fit is a bit loose and the whole mount swings a bit when driving. I use it with a 7" tablet and my smartphone. It will swing a bit with either of them. I would guess that since it is only a few weeks old that the fit will probably get worse. It was SOOO easy to mount in my car. Took maybe 5 minutes from the time I opened the passenger door until I had it mounted. Overall pretty good but has a bit of room for improvement.

It's probably great for people who want their device down low (I don't). I may still use it elsewhere, but it won't work for my phone in my truck. The description says 20 inch, but the materials that came with the device say 18. Anyway, it does work fine, but the clamp is barely big enough to hold my phone (Galaxy Note II); other smaller phones may work better. It's hard to get my phone into the jaws without messing up the positioning while holding onto it during insertion.

Package had label stating it was a 20" model but the instructions inside it was a 18" model that only fits 7" tablets. The "Original" Amazon product description says it fits different tablets (which are 10" in size), but it's definitely is too small to fit the Motorola Xoom or the Samsung galaxy tablet!

Amazon returns was simple and easy.

Update: Based on the materials and build quality I think this product is a good value for a 7" tablet, if you have one. I ended up buying a RAM Mount for my 10" tablet and since it's much heavier than a 7" tablet, the RAM Mount's beefier design is required. I think this product should do fine for anyone with a 7" tablet.

Great idea but being mounted to what is essentially the frame of the car, each bump is magnified and my Nexus 7 just shook and rattled even at low speeds. I tried adding a stiffer rod to the aluminum "flexible" core but that didn't help.
