I recently just purchased this sub box for my 04 f150 extended cab
and I must say that this product is fantastic. I just changed from
an Atrend sealed box and the difference is night and day. It is much
larger than I thought it was, but was kind of prepared for the size
from the picture. I put a Rockford Fosgate P3 Punch shallow mount
sub in here and the sub was slightly bigger than the pre-made hole.
It is easily fixed and now fits nicely under my rear drivers side
seat with just an inch sticking out.
At first I fit the sub without it's grill and the sound was really
good until I put the volume half way up. Although I never listen to
music that loud, because my audio system is pretty good already, the
performance of the box was fantastic. I could hear a slight distortion
from the deeper bass, but it wasn't very bad at all. After I put the
grill on the sub it performs at top form. Very good box, just make
sure you measure the sub you want and the hole of the box before you
buy. This is a great product for the price and anyone with an 04-08
f150 should use this box. Highly recommended and being ported really
enhances the bass.

The box was purchased for a 2007 Ford F-150 quad cab and fit pretty well. The problem is the construction of the product. There is an an internal wooden ring that allows for a flush mount of a subwoofer; however, this ring is installed only with small staples. After time the vibration and weight of a subwoofer works out the stables and you will find your sub resting on the bottom of the box. The next issue is now your specified air space suggested for your sub is completely out of range. I now not only have to replace the box but also a RF PS3 sub that now only distorts sounds. I contacted the seller to allow them to take action; however, was informed that do to it being over 30 days that they could not take any positive action. My reply is as follows:

Please take this in consideration before making a purchase. I am currently waiting on a new box to arrive from a different company. Look on Ebay!

I bought this box to replace the little 10in prefab box I had in my truck for my new Kicker CVT 10D2 shallow mount sub,I have the sub paired to a Pioneer GM-D7500 Class D Monoblock amp,the amp is pushing the sub at 2ohms pretty hard and this little sub is taking the abuse like a champ,I never thought a 10in shallow would sound this good in a ported box(it's as loud as my friends 2 12's!),but I thought I pushed the sub too hard because suddenly on my way home form work there was sudden loss of bass,First thing I thought was dammit I blew my woofer...well I get home,Look under the seat and to my surprise I see the sub had broken the box where you drill it place,that whole section of wood had completely fallen with the sub.I only had the box about a couple of days,I don't think it made it to a week old when it gave it out on me,I liked the design,I liked the banana connections inside the box,made it super easy to hook up a woofer,It fit perfectly under the seat of a supercrew F150,so I'm a little disappointed on the build quality of this thing,they should use stronger sealants or more of what they used,just my 2 cents.Any who It was good while it lasted but if plan to listen to a lot of music with bass stay away from this box,It wont last long,mine didn't,so I now have my sub back in the prefab box with some polyfill and its almost as good as the ported but not as loud.

Like other reviews, i had to do some mods on this box to make it work on my truck. I have a 2012 Supercrew, even though the description says 04-11 I don't believe there are any differences with the 2012 model. I loaded it with the Pioneer TS-SW2501S4 shallow mount sub, and immediately saw the sub was too big for the box. I had to take a dremel to both the inner and outer cutouts just to make the sub sit flush with the top of the box. After i finally got it to fit, i fired it up and immediately had a terrible air leak between the box and the mounting surface. Like a previous reviewer, I also have issues with the fact they used staples to mate these two pieces together. I pulled it apart, siliconed it, and put 8 screws in the top for extra strength. After my mods, it sounds pretty good. They probably could have routed the port to the front of the box though, the way it sits now the port is right up against the lip that the seats mount to, which defeats the purpose of ported box since the air can't get out. Also, the lever to lift the rear seat sits pretty much in the bowl of the sub, i haven't had anyone sit back there yet but I can foresee some issues with the sub hitting the bottom of the seat and distorting the sound with any weight on that back seat. Overall it sounds nice, but the box does have some design flaws.

When i first got this box, i was kind of worried that it was going to sound weird because it is firing up at the seat instead of down at the floor. But i have been pleasantly surprised on the sound. The quality of the box is fantastic and the connections on the inside of the box are exactly what i wanted. it is a big box and a very tight fit but i think that helps with the non rattling of the seat in the back. This is a great product for the price.
