I read all the reviews for this product and I was forewarned about the suction cups. I thought, well, just maybe I would be one of the lucky ones to get the suction cups to work. Nope. Great product, EXCEPT for the suction cups. It was the right price and the right size, so I bought it anyway and went to the hardware store and bought better suction cups for $1 each and am using them. RESULT: It has not fallen down since I installed it with the better cups. NOTE: the ring comes off the back of the suction cups and you can then pop them out. Take one with you to the store, it has a pretty small diameter that will fit back into the shade hole, so find one comparable. The ones I got were just a little bit bigger than the hole, but I was able to squeeze them in there with a little elbow grease. Was it worth the trouble, yeah, pretty much. I have not had a screaming toddler since I installed it because it does shield him from the direct sun in his face.

One little plastic piece that held a suciton cup in broke. Now one suction cup is floating around my car somewhere. Maybe I tried to get it off my window the wrong way, but it gave pretty easily to breaking.
The other suciton cups stuck for a bit, but one really hot day, they gave in. At least I can still use the product with it only missing one suction cup. I still like the product, because it keeps the sun out of my little guys eyes. So that's good! I'd probably buy it again, because I like the cover, and the 4 little suciton cups that aren't in my way. I would just be extremely careful with the suction cups.

I bought this to keep the sun out of my baby's eyes in her rear-facing car seat. Unfortunately, this product does not stay in place and falls off. My husband hated it since it distracted and reduced his rear-view mirror view because it kept coming lose so was hanging from the rear windshield (instead of staying closely adhered to it). Unfortunately there are no other good products out there so I bought it in spite of reading previous bad reviews. I regret using the 'something is better than nothing' philosophy here because I would have rather not bought it it is junk. Instead go to your car dealership and buy a more expensive but guaranteed product from them

3 stars because it's just OK. The suction cups have come undone a few times, and we have not experienced a change in the weather since first putting them on. It is pretty dark to see out of at night. Considering the alternatives, it's just OK.

After buying and returning two different items, I finally found one that works! This actually stays on my rear window, while the other ones would simply fall off. It serves its purpose well, to shade the sun. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't look that great and does obscure my view a bit, but not enough to make driving unsafe.
