I am no mechanic but this was easy to install on my 2000 Ford Escort. The front struts were particularly easy but the problem with the back was that it was just a bit harder to get to. Didn't not use any air compressed tools. Just a torque wrench and some muscle.ADoes the trick to replace the sagging and broken-down factory struts on my Escort. My only complaint is that the springs have a lot of pre-load in them, presumably to maintain a decent ride height as the coils begin to break down. As I replaced all four struts about the same time, my car now looks like it's ready for some of those stupid looking gangsta 30-inch wheels.
