This item is too flimsy for the weight of an HP Touchpad, do not buy for this reason. My HP Touchpad keeps falling off the mount. I have seen this exact same item in the store packaged for the iPad/iPad2... the weight of those devices should hold on this but not a HP Touchpad.

I purchased two of these units to put in my car for my boys. I am using two HP touchpad and they weigh about the same as an iPad 1, but these mounts can't support the weight. I am not sure which tablet these were 'designed' for, but it was not the HP touchpad. Touchpad is 1.6 lbs, Ipad 1 is 1.5 lbs. So once you lock these things into the right setting and make sure they are as secure as possible, you have to make sure you are on an extremely smooth road or the slightest bump will knock them out. The thing actually dropped the touchpad out of the mount and onto the floor. I would avoid these like you'd avoid a pack of wild dogs.

The backseat headrest car mount is a great product in theory but leaves much to be desired in the actual design. The item mounts to the metal rods attached to the headrest by a type of clip mechanism made of plastic. I attached the mount in one of my vehicles with little difficulty. The mount has several adjustable angles which is nice. When I tried to attach it in another vehicle (second time using the mount) one of the clips broke off. That was the end of the mount. The clips are not well constructed considering what they are designed to do.The clips need to be made with some heavy duty material or reinforced. It also would help if the clips themselves were adjustable since the metal rods attached to the headrest in car seats are not all the same size. In summary I am very disappointed with the product and would not recommend it.

The design is pretty good, but the materials with which it is made are terrible. The hooks that connect it to the headrest support bars broke while I was trying to install it. They are too narrow to accommodate modern headrest support bars and since they are so brittle, they couldn't flex and expand. The cost of returning the product makes doing so not worth the time and effort.
