The unit delivered was not the unit displayed on the Amazon page, (subsequently changed by Amazon) nor does it meet its description --
"Shatters automotive side windows for fast escape"
Haven't tested this.
"High visibility double side red flashing lights; retractable sharp puncher the air bag"
Lights are only on one side, and are not particularly bright. no "retractable sharp puncher" on unit.
"Magnets in hammer head holds the tool to the cars roof; Whistle alerts of other of emergency"
Magnets may work, but are weak, no whistle at all.
"Bright white LED flash light helps you see at night; Equipped with Lanyard"
Flashlight is so dim you need to be in a dark room to know whether it is on or not (with fresh batteries) -basically useless.
"Fold away blade cut seat belts"
Not in unit.

I ordered three of these (one for each car). Two arrived in fine working order, but the none of the lights on the third would work. Also, the batteries are nothing but a stack of watch-style batteries instead of the longer lasting, more readily replaceable double-A's. Would also have been nice to have some sort of mounting plate. It rolls back and forth in my console and the ball in the whistle rattles.

Just a short time ago I purchased two of these tools. As opposed to some of the less sturdy tools, this one fits the hand well and has a good "feel" of heftiness to it. Both worked as advertised, with the flashing red triangle and the 3 LED flashlight performing well. Not having had any occasion when I would have cracked a window with it, I can't testify to that aspect of the tool, but it sure feels like it'd do the job with no problem. The cap for the AAA battery compartment works well; it's not your typical constant threaded type, but rather one that only requires a quarter turn on it to open the battery compartment, and then reversing the turn to seal it back up. I've had no problem with that at all. If you do purchase one of these, all kidding aside, please leave it somewhere in the front area where you can reach it in an emergency. I've heard of more than one person putting the unit in the car trunk with the rest of their tools...in the trunk obviously isn't going to do much good if you need it fast.

I assume it will work when we need it, but until I do, I'm going on faith that it'll do what it's supposed to. It is small and lightweight so it fits in the car's side door pocket without a fuss.
