I wanted to cover the plain old vinyl bench seat in my 1994 GMC pick up so I went to an upholstery shop and got an estimate of $360.00 for a plain, straight bench seat. Then I remembered the good old Saddleman seat covers from years back, I was looking for fit and durability and figured this was the way to go.
This is not the Saddleman that I remember the quality and gage of the fabric was just ok however the vinyl pieces in the center are so thin I was amazed (I did not think it was possible to make vinyl so thin.) After installation I made no comments and I showed my wife. Her first words were "wow that vinyl is thin, how long do you think it will last?"
The seat cover apparently fits many bench seats, I can tell because the cut-outs for my seat belts were way off, I have about 4" of cut-out room to spare for each seat belt.I will try to illustrate in pictures that I will post.
The directions are poor at best and there was not one "s" hook included in the package. I was lucky enough to have some in my garage.
From a distance it looks good, I struggled with a 2 or a 3 rating, I certainly can not give it an "I like it rating" so the very best I can do is give it a 3
Had the vinyl been better quality, "s" hooks included and good directions provided they would have a much better product.
