After reading several very different reviews on this product, I decided to go ahead and try it myself. My husband has been looking for a "true leather" fragrance for his truck to no avail. I ordered this product and we tested it out in both vehicles (my car is new with leather interior, his truck is older with cloth seats) and this air freshener is exactly as described. All I can say about the poor reviews is just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, scent is in the nostril of the sniffer. I would describe the smell as freshly tanned leather (not old cow hide) but new leather just like the smell that hits you when you walk into a western boot store (i.e. Cavender's or Baskins). Additionally, I used 4 sprays (under the seats) 7 days ago and I still smell it just like new. So, depending on your sensitivity to smell and what you are really looking for, this was the best leather scented product I have found that actually works as advertised AND it is made in the USA!!! I will definitely buy Chemical Guys products again.

ordered a 16 oz bottle 6 moths ago and found this product to be excellent, perfect leather smell that lasts / a little of this Poduct goes a long way so use as directed. I applied some to a rag and put under the front seat and would renew every two weeks or so and the'wow" comments from passengers just kept comming. Just ordered my second bottle and I highly reccommend this product.

This product will give your car the pleasant smell of leather! However, you need to follow the directions on the bottle that state " Spray only once under the seat. Do not spray on carpets or upholstery". Initially, I made the mistake of not reading the directions and sprayed several times under the front and rear seats and on the carpets. Needless to say, the aroma was way too strong and unpleasant. However, after airing out my car a few days, the aroma softened to a pleasant leather scent. Spray only once under the seat and you will be very pleased with the smell of leather. The large 16 oz. bottle should last you a very long time. I definitely recommend this product!

I am a huge Chemical Guys fan. I used and still use their Blacklight Wax and the jetseal 109.

I also have their New Car scent (which I am running low on) so I decided to try this one out. First, it smells very similar to the New car scent BUT the scent does not last long at all.

I literally believe the leather scent stays in the car for a couple of hours and that's it. The new car scent doesn't last long either but it lasts for at least a day, maybe two.

While the scent is good, its not worth it because you have to go through so much product.

This smells exactly like leather. No kidding. If you have a leather interior, I recommend you give this product a try if you're looking to maintain a factory leather scent.

Four stars because the scent seems to wear out fast in the southern California sun. Not sure if it's a product shortcoming or an unexpected environmental consequence, but that's life.
