The other reviews helped me to have realistic expectations. The instructions are vague, and there some mesh zipper things that I never figured out so I threw them away. I figured out where the rest of it went, though, without much problem. It comes with 5 head covers and four seat covers. The rear covers were actually two separate covers. The front of the seats are made of a very soft pleather, and the back is sort a nylon mesh. I was hoping for a more sturdy material for the back to protect it from muddy feet, but I'll just have to remind the kids to have better manners. They have long elastic loops that you hook together to keep the covers on. Unfortunately, I didn't see the bag of hooks until after I had tied the loops together in knots. Also, watch the cost of shipping, it's significantly more than the shipping for books.

Despite the negative things I just listed, I still think it's worth 4 stars. That's because I had shopped at my local stores and other online stores and all the seat covers were just ugly or tacky or overpriced, or all three. (Why would I want zebra or leopard patterned seats?) I had purchased 2 fabric front seat covers for $30 and then returned them when I saw these on Amazon. Once I got these on the seats, they looked rather nice. They are machine washable, which comes in real handy when you have kids. I ended up being glad that they weren't made of a shiny leather or vinyl because during hot summer days it didn't hurt to sit on them when wearing my shorts. So, relative to what is available in stores it was worth it. I feel like I got what I paid for.

I have a 2009 Kia Rondo with the 60/40 (or 70/30??) back seat split. Finding affordable seat covers for the vehicle in a halfway decent fabric was becoming rather, um, frustrating to say the least. Ran across these and figured for the price it'd be worth it to at least try them.

So they've been on for a couple months now and they are serving their purpose -protecting my tan colored seats from the 2 little gremlins that seem to think I owe them food, shelter, and a college education ;-) The "(p)leather" looks good from the front and is comfy to sit on, though I DESPISE the elastic bands going around the back of the back seat. Would have been nice to have had the slip over mesh option that the front seats have, but at this price point, well, you get what you pay for.

And frankly, unless one of these days I can find decent covers that accomodate a split back seat, I'm as pleased as punch and will likely buy another set in the future when the current set has worn out.

Heres the deal, these are cheap ass generic covers, but... they work. I've had these installed for 4 months now and in some ways they are falling apart, on the drivers side (side of cover) something has rubbed the black material off on a 6 inch area and you can see the thin white foam mesh, and I mean THIN. There are pulls or runs like in a nylon stalking on the backs of these covers. By the sound of it youd think total garbage but...

I have three kids and two Chihuahas. The covers have saved my seats from multiple spills ( assuming you have paper towells handy and I keep those in the glove box ) as well as wet dog and kid stuff. I got black, they look pretty good ( professional ) of course my wife installed them, shes a wizard, so If I did it it might have looked like ***t.

Long and short. If I had no kids, no dogs and was a clean quiet person, I think these would be a good deal for the price. They still look good believe it or not. Hope that helps, my install was a 2009 Hyundai accent.

Honest reviews on FH-PU002115 Classic PU Leather Car Seat Covers, Airbag compatible

These fit my 2009 Wrangler Unlimited just fine. I live in Hawaii, and these are perfect for keeping sand and water off the seats. They dry off quick with a towel, and have stood up to 6 months of sun and sand and salt water with no signs of wear.

Install is not hard really, just take your time and figure out where to pull the elastic loops through and hook them to the seat frame with the hooks provided. Just dont pull too hard. I managed to pull one or two loops off by accident.

The zippered panels for the folding rear seat work great too. I can use my split folding rear seat because of it.

Install on the back seat may be a bit more challenging in a car than a Jeep since I have easy access to the back of the seat cushion.

I had leather seats in my 2006 Saab. Yeah, I conditioned and cleaned them religiously while the car was new. As it aged, I took less and less care of them and eventually they started to wear and crack from skin oils and the Florida sun.

When we bought a used Santa Fe, the seats were in decent shape so we decided to cover them. Pleather seemed like the way to go because any fabric would just get soaked through by spills, not offering much protection except from dirt. We bought custom seats from Iggee. Top-quality product. They fit great and they replaced them twice at their expense (shipping too) until they got the rear armrest just right. But they were $400 (still a bargain for custom pleather).

We just traded in the Saab (206,000 miles so what if the seats were cracked, right?) and got a new 2013 Elantra GLS with beige interior (it looks WAY better with black seats). I didn't want to spend $400 again. I was skeptical about these, but decided to try them anyway.

It's hard to believe these are generic fit! The front seat is indistinguishable from custom fit. The back seat, almost as good too.

Downsides:

A zipper can provide easy(-ish) access to the center armrest, whereas my custom set includes an armrest cover. Here, nothing protects the armrest while in use.

The headrest covers are way too big for the Elantra's. But they definitely protect. It would be nice to have size options here. Maybe I'll try to sew them on snugger.

The front seats have a velcro opening for the headrests. I would prefer having to cut a hole like for the back seats and the Iggees instead it fits/looks better.

The Iggees are pleather all-around. The back of these is a black fabric on front seats, open on back seats. I don't know if the generic fit could be accomplished with pleather all-around. But then, the front seats fit perfectly and they could easily be pleather all-around for better look (at increased cost, of course).

They had an ad insert for a free dash mat upon favorable review. I sent in for mine to feedback@fhseatcovers.com and the e-mail address came back undeliverable: 550 No Such User Here.

Pros:

Side airbag-friendly stitching. The Iggees accomplished this with a velcro side, which is not as neat.

These added a back seat pocket to the driver's seat that wasn't there before. Solid material replaced the OEM mesh pocket on the passenger side.

The PU leather looks and feels just as good as the Iggees. Maybe a bit thinner and less padding, but quite adequate (especially with seat warmers you don't want it too thick).

Strap design is WAY easier to install than the elastic loops and S-hooks on the Iggees. I just threaded the elastic loops through the straps for the sides.

Zippers and fabric extensions allow easy split-back folding without messing with zippers.

I would have spent the same amount on an ugly-looking cover from Walmart or automotive stores. I got 90% custom fit for 13% of the price. Love them.

Had I found these a few years ago, the Santa Fe would be sporting these instead of Iggees. I don't think you can get better covers for $50. I don't think you could get better covers for under $300. The only way to beat these is custom, if you want to pay the price.

And they won't crack like real leather.
