I had previous experience with a Covercraft sunshade on our 1997 Pontiac Grand Am. That item fit perfectly and lasted about 7 years. Unfortunately, they eventually start to break at the folds. The materials used today seem to be identical to what was used 16 years ago. So it won't surprise me that it might fail in 5-7 years. We shall see.
The fit is a little tighter on the Jeep Patriot, so it's best to use care when installing and removing from the windshield. If Covercraft could find a material that won't crack at the folds, this product would be perfect and worthy of 5 stars. If you keep your car for 10 or more years, figure that you will be buying several of these in the long run.
