I didn't want to get a dash mount because it'd obstruct my view, so this seemed like a good candidate for a mount that'll be kind of out of the way... for my Isuzu rodeo. Only thing is my passenger wouldn't have enough room, using the passenger seat bolt.
It bolts on good, firm and tight... but the neck wobbles, like it wants to twist and turn with the Transformer on it.
I think I'm going to have to add something else to hold the neck in the middle... that's my only gripe. Maybe I'm missing something? I don't know, but the rest of the items that came with it... they are for permanent mounting.

Installed in less than an hour. Looks great, works great! Did not not come with the bracket pictured, but the brackets that did come are well made and don't look out of place. I would recommend this to anyone looking for this type of mount.

I was a little worried about it being so long. I felt it would wobble. Well, it did in deed wobble but that was easily overcome by connecting a zip tie to it about half way up to my center console. You should know this is in a work van with a metal console. I installed it, for use with my tablet because i thought my new tablet would do everything i needed to be done. after a few days i learned i needed my laptop too so i added velcro to the top and removed the grip fingers. The stand now holds my laptop. Just in case, i velcro'd my tablet on top of the laptop. the point is i have about 6 pounds on it and am very happy how well it holds the items and still allows me to adjust the shaft if needed. I am considering a second. I would just make sure it is mounted securely so there is no play at the base. Then attempt to support the shaft around mid way up. Or you could spend 5 times this amount and get a solid stand but why would you do that when this does what it is intended and is flexible? highly recommended.

Use it for my viewsonic gtablet and also phone/ipod when tablet isn't in vehicle (2004 RAM). I broke the top part (don't remember how) but managed to super glued it back together and it's held fine. Only problem is i glued the adjuster mechanism too, so the size is stuck :(
