This conditioner is simply astounding! I used it on an old, old bag and it softened the leather and renewed the color. I used it on my briefcase and scratches and marks disappeared! I even used it on a leather duster I have, and not only did it restore the leather, it also smells nice! Some leather products are chemically based and it shows in the nose! Not Leather Milk! Now, if it would only work on my face, to remove wrinkles, soften the skin, get rid of them nasty old age spots...alas, I guess only my leather goods will benefit. Buy some, use it, enjoy it, your leather will thank you for it! There is one problem with Leather Milk that you should know about before you purchase. You won't be able to buy just one bottle! Once you see what it does for your leather goods, you, and your leather, will be hooked! This is a great product, by a great company, the performs a great service...so what's not to love?

For my birthday, my wife bought me a Saddleback wallet in the lightest possible color, and I absolutely loved it. It had tremendous character, and it aged beautifully over the first few months of its life in my pocket. Hands down, it was the best wallet I had ever owned.

Then we went to an amusement park. And we went on an inner tube ride. And we all got soaked. Twice.

I didn't realize the mistake I'd made until we went to attempt to dry out and I pulled my wallet from my pocket. It was soaked through. The leather had absorbed a lot of water and was now very dark in color. I panicked.

But I remembered reading on the Saddleback web site that Dave Munson had had a similar experience and had simply let his piece dry, then treated it with some of this Chamberlain's Leather Milk and voila, it was good as new. I ordered some as soon as I got home from the park.

It arrived a few days later and I waited until the weekend to use it, because I just couldn't live without my wallet and I wasn't sure how long the treatment would take. I had let the wallet dry for a full day before putting it back into use, and it had mostly recovered but I wanted to ensure its long life. It really is that amazing.

So I opened the bottle, took out the provided applicator pad, and rubbed a bit of the conditioner on the back side of the wallet, which soaked it right up. I rubbed in a little more until it appeared that the wallet had a good, consistent coating, then did the same on the other side. The inside came next. I stood the wallet up on its end (after treating the end-grain as well) leaving it open in a v-shape to let the Leather Milk soak in and dry. By the time I came back from doing yard work a few hours later, it was mostly done, but I gave it a few more hours to be safe. I buffed the wallet with a soft cloth and it's as good as new, if a bit darker and a bit smoother than before (the untreated wallet had a soft, almost sueded quality that it no longer has, but that's a pretty minor quibble and I suspect it would have lost that over time regardless).

If you're expecting some nasty-smelling liniment, you're in for a treat. I can't be sure whether it's vanilla or almond, but this stuff smells incredibly nice, and the resulting post-treatment leather, instead of smelling of vanilla (or almond) just smells nice and leathery again.

Only time will tell whether this product actually extends the life of my wallet, but I know I'll be re-treating it every 6 months or so just to be safe. For leather that you want to keep around for a good long time, this is pretty inexpensive insurance.

I bought this product because I wanted to restore a red leather Coach purse that looked dull, dry, and covered in scratches. I also had accidentally spilled some oily soup on it which had stained the front slightly. I was debating between this and the Leather Honey conditioner but in the end picked this one (I'll probably still buy Leather Honey to see how that works). All I know is that Chamberlain's Leather Milk worked really well. It was really helpful that this came with the cotton applicator (which, incidentally turned red when I used it on the red leather, but the purse is fine). The leather looks so healthy and hydrated and the texture is quite soft and supple. The scratch marks are gone as well. Initially, the purse looked darker and I was worried that the color had changed drastically. After 10 minutes to let it dry, the color returned to normal (and the stain from the oily soup was gone!). The almond scent of the Leather Milk is incredible. This is definitely worth the money and I will be purchasing this again! (NOTE: I also used it on another purse I had and that one initially had a slightly sticky coating which went away once it completely dried.)

Honest reviews on Chamberlain's Leather Milk 8oz Leather Care Liniment Conditioner

Here's the deal. I bought The No#1 and No#2 to clean and condition a home theater couch and love seat that had not been cleaned in years. But after putting in a new theater system I thought it was time to take care of the furniture. It's a very nice couch and love seat that withstood my sons and their friends throughout the years. You know what that means. I decided to use the cleaner first because...well why not right? While cleaning one of the cushions on the dinning room table, I spilled the whole bottle on the table and that was the end of that, so I moved right to the conditioner. The No#1 smells great and worked right into the leather bringing this couch back to life. It looks great and feels great. Look no further this stuff will take care of your leather.

I have to also tell you that the customer service is outstanding. They read an email from me talking about the spill and sent me a new bottle of the cleaner free of charge just like that. That says it all. I just ordered a bottle of No#1 and No#5 for other leather products I own and I'll never use anything else. Thanks Chamberlains!

I used the leather milk on some very expensive alligator and leather bags (Lana Marks, Louis Vuitton) that I have had for up to ten years and I am so pleased to see them restored to their former glory! I also used it on my beige 2002 SAAB car seats and they are beautiful. My SAAB is my pride and joy as it is in excellent condition and I wanted to maintain the beauty of the seats that are not cracked or worn but were showing warning signs of age. After using this product on the seats, they are practically like new again. I can't comment on what they would do for more worn seats but the signs of aging that had begun on my car seats were eliminated after one application of Chamberlain's. I did use more product than was necessary which made the seats a bit sticky for a while. I suggest using small amounts at a time and to have plenty of clean flannel or microfiber cloths to buff the seats after they've had a chance to sit and absorb the milk for an hour or two.

Because of the natural ingredients in this product I was not hesitant at all to use them on my valuable bags. Alligator and leather need to be moisturized, just like any skin. I had neglected the alligator bag and am very thankful that Chamberlain's Leather Milk nourished it and has kept it and will continue to keep it from cracking. It makes no sense to have luxury items and not take care of them. (Self-admonition, there.) The reason I hadn't conditioned them up to this point was that I hadn't found anything that wasn't full of chemicals which, in my opinion, would have been detrimental to my items and not at all helpful. Happily, I no longer need to worry about that with this product.

As with my car seats, I was a bit enthusiastic with application and used far more than was needed. Again, I recommend using just a small bit at a time. When the sponge gets saturated, you will barely need to add more product. Let it sit on the items for a while and if the leather is particularly neglected and thirsty, let it sit for maybe an hour or two and then decide if a second application is necessary. Once the milk has fully absorbed buff it with a flannel cloth. This will not make matte leather "shiny" but will instead bring out a more desirable healthy and natural glow and suppleness.

Can not wait to use it on the leather sofa that has been ravaged by dog paws!
