this product works well. it is almost identical to dynamat extreme, yet is less expensive. the only diffrence being the aluminum is slightly thinner, but is still great quality. after much research i cant find what the adhesive is, but it is almost certainly a high percent butyl. the odor from it is so so faint its negligable. so its a great alternative to the name brands. will purchase more. and in fact it lays and rolls down better than dynamat. only took away a star because 3 dollars a square foot is still high for what it is.

Great product... I used this on the under side of the center console that goes over the motor and it really reduced the heat and sound of the motor on my Canam Commander!

I used this on my Corvair Corsa that has the mid engine conversion. I have a firewall right in back of my seat and it would get very warm once the car got up to temp. I applied this to the aluminum/fiberglass firewall and it works very well in both sound deadening and temperature reduction. You will notice a strong smell when you first take it out of the package and I would recommend unrolling it and setting it in the sun or a warm place to soften it up if you want to apply it onto contoured surfaces. Give it a couple days and the smell is pretty much gone. If you are building a performance car beware that this will add weight to your ride. Comfort and performance rarely go hand in hand but saving my hearing and not roasting while driving was well worth it. For the price this is hard to beat and I would rate this 5 stars for value and ease of installation.

Hey ive always just used dynamat but the kit i needed was 156 on amazon and 220 in the store for DO IT YOURSELF PERSON LIKE ME THAT WAS OUT MY PRICE RANGE. i looked for alternatives and found this product.I was skeptical at first, but once i looked at a couple reviews i said worse case scenerio ill have to super glue in on with rubber cement.But long story short IF YOUR INSTALLING UNDER 70 DEGREES WEATHER YOU NEED A HEAT GUN AND A STRONG ROLLER. without those two you'll have hard time installing. I installed this in my trunk for sound deading and a smoother ride and it works perfect.O its not as thick as dynamat but just as durable

48 cents a sq ft and it works as well as Dynamat at what, triple the cost or more? its a very simple product with four almost no-cost components (not including the cardboard box) that sticks forever to almost anything, has very little odor out of the box, which dissipates within minutes. This quiets most engine and road noise and blocks almost all the heat.

Go ahead and give your money to the Dynamats and other gougers. While you're at it, send a bunch more of your money to Monster for their cables. Its all hype for snobs with too much cash. I'm putting this in my motorhome to make our trips even more enjoyable. I'm glad I found them.
