I've used this cushion happily for about 2 yrs. Helpful that its 2 parts are linked together by a plastic piece that makes the cushion useful for carrying from place to place. I use it only in the car, but toss it into the passenger seat when my husband wants to drive, as he doesn't need it. One day recently the plastic piece that connects the back rest from the bottom part snapped. Also, the fabric on the edges of the seat cushion wore away. So, I'd get a new one, as I've not seen anything that both lifts one "up" as well as supports the back, but it won't last forever. P.S. I did buy a new one and it broke, too!! That's the end of my buying this product.

Immediately impressed with this cushion!!! The seat is on the firm side...initially thought it might be a bit too firm but within a couple of days became very pleased with the support it provides for both my back and bottom. Very easy to transport.

My husband has severe back issues and had one of these for several years (and loved it) before the plastic connector broke, so I ordered one to replace it. Within 2 wks the new seat had broken! The back strap that allows you to secure it to the back of the seat was waaay shorter than the original; impossible to secure behind car seat. I'm going to contact the company to see if they will exchange it for a new one; I'm hoping this one was defective, and a replacement will last as long as the original did for my husband.
