Review is intended for Caltrend Neosupreme Bucket Seat Covers 2013 Hyundai Elantra Charcoal Insert and Black Trim
Appearance is sleek and has a snug fit on the bucket seats. It conforms well to the original seats. Because my original interior is tan, the Charcoal Insert and Black Trim will prevent the original interior from becoming more soiled. The darker color will hopefully hide future dirt stains. It complements the rest of the interior which is black, charcoal, and tan. There is a side vent for seat airbags. It comes with separate head rests. Though in some pictures the charcoal swatch appears brownish the product is true to charcoal color.
Installation is not very difficult but is not as easy as CalTrend claims because the original hard plastic seat backing and lower carpet upholstery (that hides the wires) prevents the separate seat covers from coming directly out in the back. For the seat back, the velcro straps need to be worked around the carpet upholstery to be secured into place. Be careful when placing "S" hooks underneath the seat to ensure wires are not pinched.
Unhook the original carpet upholstery first to make it easier to install the seat bottom. The seat bottom will lace around to the front beneath the seat, but be sure to avoid pinching any wires or tubes that may prevent the airbags from deploying in the event of collision. The YouTube video that CalTrend provides is not practical because it does not account for these wires, and shows only a woman installing the seat cover on a stand alone bucket seat completely removed from a car.
The seat covers are comfortable and seem to be durable and made with good quality. They seem worth the price for durable yet personalized stylish protection.
