After 12 months usage the cable can not provide good connection. Now after iOS upgrade seems disable by iOS and can not work with my iPhone 4S. It still can link with my iPod nano.

I bought this together with the iSimple IS31 Universal Aux Input, to add iPod integration to the Factory Head Unit on my Hyundai Accent 2007 hatchback. So far both products have been working marvelously. Is pretty simple to install, just attach the RCA connectors to the AUX input in your car (you may need some additional cables for this) or install it directly to a Universal RCA AUX Input like I did with the iSimple IS31, connect the red and black cables to a switched power source (in my case I did it to the cigarette lighter cables) and finally plug your iPod / iPad / iPhone to the 30 pin doc connector (I have NO device with the new lighting connector, I'm NOT sure if this will work with the 30 pin to lighting that apple sales), and you will have audio output and (provided that you connected the power source) it will charge your iPod / iPad / iPhone as well.

It comes with a little remote control for you to attach it to the Steering Wheel; this is very nice because you have control for play/pause, next track and previous track (Volume is actually controlled by your head unit, so no volume controls here or in the iPod that will operate at full volume once connected to the dock connector). There are some other keys on the remote, menu, up, down and OK, that are used to control the iPod menus, but since I have my iPod on the glove box I don't really use them at all. Just have one thing in mind if you install this by yourself or have some Pro doing the installation, at the end of the cable there's a box from which the RCA and power cables come from, try to install this "box" as close as possible to the steering wheel, since the receptor for the remote is located there and the battery operated remote will not work well if this box is located too far away.

Overall a great product, definitively will buy another to add iPod integration to my wife car.

I have had two similar products from the same brand that have both failed after about 3-6 months. The joint where the main cable connects to the 30 pin iPod connection is too weak and over time I get connectivity issues. The charging feature is fine but it stops sending audio to my right side speakers if the cable is in a certain orientation. You can bend and twist the cable to find a spot that works. Over time though, doing this only makes the problem worse and you lose audio on both sides.

I emailed the company and they seemed less than concerned about helping me with the issues, especially after I had owned two of these that failed prematurely in the exact same way.

While it works properly though it is a great product, I love the charging and the audio quality and volume and the video feature is cool too.
