OK so I bought this "thing" a real pile!!! If u get my meaning--'' having dealt with electronics for years I have learned , prior to installing , test the unit first!!! So I put 12 volts on it and put a DVD in .....loading,,,loading,,,loading,,,loading..........loading,,,,,,,,,loading.........No Disk...so I tried a different dvd'''same and same and same again and again.......finally one DVD worked out of 8 I tried....OK so the unit has issues....typical for Chinese made cheap stuff.... hooked up the dome light that is part of the unit .....the switch was shot...more cheap junk....packed the unit up, got a pre paid return label off the computer from amazon returns, and sent it packing back to amazon... now all ways buy through amazon cause if u get a defective item they cross ship a replacement almost the same day you file for it and the replacement is to you in 3 to 4 days,.....I've had to do this several times and never had issues with them. .cudos to amazon..as for Pyle ...stay tuned for the pyle up! once I get the replacement Pyle .

Not good. Dome light wires were pinched in packaging and wires were losing connection inside the insulation. Took me a while figure out why the lights went out i lifted the unit to the ceiling. Reconnected everything several times to figure out it was a short in the wire, replaced the bad wire and it worked fine. Once it was up, the DVD wouldn't play. "No disc" it said. Made some funny noises (i wasn't laughing) and wouldn't play. I tried the dvd in another player and it worked fine. Already got the return label and it is going back for a refund. After the nightmare of installing we put in a movie to test it out before our day long road trip for the kids. Two hours wasted installing this thing and it would not read a move. We tried 10 different movies, it will start then lock up, or will just flat say "No Disc" and even though you can hear it spinning nothing happens. It is loud, and just a very cheap and poorly made product. Could not get home and get it out of the car fast enough. We went ahead and just bought the same brand we had before trying this one, at least we got a year out of the other brand. THE DVD PLAYER DOES NOT READ THE DVD. IT GIVES THE MESSAGE NO DISC AFTER TRYING TO READ FOR A LONG TIME. I CHANGED 3 UNITS AND I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM. I READ THE REVIEWS AND STILL WANTED TO GIVE IT A CHANCE. AND BELIEVE ME THE BAD REVIEWS ARE TRUE. Purchased first unit...Only one channel of the IR would work and RF transmitter did not work. Second Unit arrived, would not load any dvd's at all. Third unit, loads about one in three dvd's. The ones it does load skip all of the time. Even used brand new DVD's and still they skipped and would not load even while vehicle was sitting stationary in the parking lot. Amazon then wants me to contact the Pyle and figure out the the problem.If you are going to cut a hole in your headliner for a dvd player don't buy this one!!!. Look at the other reviews and you will see similar problems.
