I bought these seat covers for my girlfriend for our 5 year anniversary and she loves them. She sells decorative stones door to door and has to do a lot of driving to get to neighborhoods and her back would always get sweaty, which caused her car to develop a pretty awful smell, but these seat covers solved that problem. I think there's something special in the weaving that almost acts as an antiperspirant because the smell and sweat have gone away. She's a little bit of a bigger gal, which I like, but the fabric seems to be holding up pretty well to the wear and tear caused by her sitting on them.

As for the design, hey it's Ed Hardy, how can you go wrong with that? She's got a bunch of Ed Hardy clothing from the outlet mall that's close to our house, so she matches the seat covers perfectly. As soon as I get my promotion at Footlocker we're gonna replace her hubcaps with a new set of rims and she'll be rolling with class. By the way if you need a new pair, just swing by and I'll hook you up with a new pair of kicks, free advertising right? Haha just playin. We would have done it sooner but with the new baby on the way, it's cut into our automotive budget. Not exactly what we wanted, but hey, you make it work. Anyways, thanks for the seat covers Ed Hardy.

I love Ed Hardy designs generally, but the signature line/logo part is way too big and too centrally located, and gold. Very not subtle. Almost returned them but my 3-year old loved the fish, so had to keep them.

My only issue is the steering wheel cover, maybe the VW steering wheel is larger than usual, but I am going to have to figure a way to get this on there. Still, I love this set, because she does!

The steering wheel cover is small and I am unable to get it on my wheel.I spoke with an awesome representative from the company where purchased and he recommended that I try to soften the cover up by heating it by blowing hot hair on it from a hair dryer. I have a leather purse that continually picks up dye from dark denim, despite numerous washings of said jeans. I purchased this leather cleaner for the exact same reason another reviewer did the dye from a pair of my jeans rubbed off on my brand new $300 purse. I did some brief research online and settled on Chamberlain's Leather Milk in hopes of removing the discoloration. I did a small test spot on the backside of the strap and after seeing it dried clear, went to work on my purse. In less than 5 minutes, with minimal effort, the dye was out. I'm thrilled with how well it worked and highly recommend it.

I purchased the #2 straight cleaner as well as the #1 Leather liniment and used both on two pairs of $400 To Boot Italian dress shoes. I made the mistake of using the #2 Straight cleaner on the shoes and that discolored the brown shoes and made them noticeably lighter. I tested the #2 cleaner on an inconspicuous area and it was fine but then cleaned the whole shoe with it and that was a mistake. The #2 cleaner made the leather really clean and soft but discolored the brown shoes. If I could do it over again I would just use only the #1 Leather liniment and then just pre-brush the shoes with a horse hair brush. The liniment is amazing and I used it on my leather dining room chairs and they look new. Then I used it on my leather seats in my car and they looked great too. I don't know what the main application of the #2 straight cleaner is but I'm a little gun-shy now so I'll just stick with the leather liniment.

I also wanted to compliment this company on their amazing attention to customer service and level of care they showed to me. Someone from their company actually personally reached out to me to see how I liked the product without me sending them an email first. I told him about my issue with the #2 straight cleaner and he not only gave me some great info on re-dyeing my brown shoes but he also processed a refund for me and I didn't even request it at all. I will continue buying the Leather liniment and then try the straight cleaner on something else that isn't as valuable to me. This is just my experience and I hope it helps someone make an informed decision.

It would seem based on other reviews that this isn't a scam or just water, instead, it's a very delicate cleaner. I wouldn't call it the best leather cleaner. I tried it on several surfaces including a wingback chair, desk chair, an Eames knock-off and leather car seats.

The surfaces that weren't that dirty came clean well. Although these likely would have come clean with a damp cloth, the chamberlains was probably good for the leather.

The surfaces that were dirtier didn't come completely clean but did improve slightly.

I ended up having to go over the car seats with Meguiar's gold class cleaner which did a much better job and didn't appear to do any harm to the softness and texture of the seats.

I went over the ottoman chair with a cheap store bought strong cleaner which did a much better job for much less.

Maybe in conjunction with their other chamberlains' products you would achieve better results. For the cost though, I wouldn't buy more to test that theory.

I read a LOT of reviews before getting this product. I was REALLY excited. I started the project, and the hooks that need to be attached, all the strings on the corners all over the place, and the fact that you actually have to CUT holes in the very pretty and thick fabric was a total turn off. It did not work on my little ford with Leather seats.

The pictures are deceiving. Looking at it, I assumed the entirety of the front bucket covers would be the same material, but it turns out just the seating surface is the "micro-velour" fabric. I mean ONLY the FRONT. The backs are made of extremely elastic mesh, kind of like really stretchy panty hose. The velour doesn't even go over the back of the headrest, it stops immediately at the top of the headrest. The pliability of the mesh is stretchier than the velour, resulting in the seat cover inevitably sliding down after a month (maybe less) and tearing. Never mind that your car looks good from the front but like a cheap hooker from the back. Returned!

I installed this after our child got a bigger seat and we were constantly trying to find the seatbelt lost between car seats. It does give the OEM a better height to work with, but it is sometimes difficult to engage with the belt. Patient manipulation is usually rewarded.

the color and style is just what I wanted, but it is WAY over sized! Suggested for a truck only, and one with bulky seats not car sized ones!

Buy Griot's Garage 11141 Leather Rejuvenator - 8 oz.

This was my first purchase of a Griot's product so I was skeptical about what this leather treatment would do. It exceeded my expectations in every way. First of all it is highly concentrated so a little goes a long way. In my estimation one bottle will do at least 8 average size car interiors. The key is to get the leather clean before you apply this product; otherwise you will trap dirt and other contamination in the leather. A degrease type solvent is called for and my favorite one is Simple Green. After you clean the leather use a cloth of rub this stuff on and let it sit for 30-60 minutes. Then just wipe any excessive wet areas and the whole seating areas to get rid of the haze. That is all it takes.

NOTE: It will work better with some leather than with others. I used this in a Lexus and Mitsubishi and had different results. In the Lexus it seemed as if 90% of the paste stayed on the surface of the seat. The car still smelled wonderful but this effect did not last and the seats seemed no better or worse than prior to treatment. The Mitsubishi (preforated leather) seats seemed to absorb the paste into them. 90%+ of the stuff went into to leather and made it softer.

It is a hit or miss when it comes to discovering if this will work with your leather so I would suggest buying the smallest size as a tester. The manufacturing of the leather makes the difference here. Some leather is sealed from the factory while other leather is made to breathe. The way the car smells like new leather goods after treating it is outstanding as well.

I tried it on my Acura TSX seats, it came out great. Especially on one seat, where it had 1 ft round spot of super hardened leather (due to chemicals spill), it took 4-5 applications to soften it, but it worked! There are several things to keep in mind about that product:

1. the smell is strong (for me it was a little disturbing) for the first day (really depends on an inside temperature), after that it will get much weaker and I would say it will become even pleasant (like new leather smell).

2. it works only on leather parts! Nowadays in most of the cars with "leather interior" seats are a made of leather plus vinyl. It will not work on vinyl it has no pores to soak into. For instance on my TSX, the leather pars are only perforated ones (central parts), all the other vinyl.

i have used this for years. It used to be available only mail order from the manufacturer, so several of us would get together and order a mix of products. I use this to restore dried leather: slings, saddles, saddlebags, scabbards, knife sheaths. I used this in a museum, on leather from WW1 and the Civil War. It is fabulous. A bottle lasts for years.

Be patient. Rub it it and let it sit for a month and sink in. From then on, you can use the normal Griot's leather care products.

I am always trying to find the best tools/supplies to keep my cars looking great. I met a guy who details cars for a profession and he told me that the current leather conditioner I was using was not the best and suggested Griots Leather Rejuvenator. As soon as I came home, I investigated it and similar products to see what others thought and decided to give it a try.

It arrived last night (Amazon Prime is great :) and I tried it on one seat. Then this morning I used it on the entire interior. I don't notice a difference and asked a friend to see if he could tell any difference between the seats and he could not. He does say my car looks beautiful :). I conditioned the leather in two cars today following the process described below and both look great.

Process:

-Used a blower to blow out any dust/dirt in the car

-Thoroughly cleaned all leather with Simple Green using a cloth rag

-Applied the leather rejuvenator with another clean cloth I didn't use the Griot blue sponge. I tried to be sure not to apply it too thick

-Waited for an hour

-Used a new clean cloth to wipe the interior. I ended up using several cloths because I there was residue on my hand and I wanted to be sure there was none remaining on the seats or interior.

(I paid $15 for an 8oz bottle. and it looks like I used about 1/8th of the bottle.)

Results:

Appearance Interior looks fantastic and clean, not shiny

Feel great and clean not greasy or sticky

Smell I can't say this has a 'new car' smell but it's not bad and doesn't smell like chemicals

This car is 21 months old at the time of the video.

The pockets are neat, but after 9 months of regular use (by a 130lb woman) the seams between the black and gray material have completely come apart. Not just a little 1" gap, but literally an entire foot of seam has opened up on BOTH sides. Seems a little ridiculous.

I find that I just don't have enough "handy" storage space in my cars for things like sunglasses, GPS's, flashlights, car power adapters, etc. The glove box is only so big, as is the center console. The trunk area is fine for things I don't need right away. These seat covers kill two birds with one stone. They protect the seats AND give me more storage room.

They also look good, but I'm not crazy about how they go on. Instead of a nice elastic fit, they have to be laced up the sides. If you lace them too tightly, the eyelets can start to rip out once you sit in them and move around a bit. So, if you buy them, install them looser than you would think you should. I would like to see the manufacturer change this, however.

All that said, this will not stop me from buying these again.

I bought these and loved the durable material and all the pockets. They were easy to put on and looked sporty but within a few months the seams had spit. I admit I tend to slid into my seat. I wanted covers to protect the seat from wear on the edge but these just gave out exposing the seat to the wear and tear I had been hoping to prevent. I was very disappointed since I had only had the seat covers for a total of 8 months and the drivers side was totally trashed in that time period. I am 150 lbs and only drive to and from work. Seems a bit cheap considering I paid close to 40 dollars for each cover.
