I thought this would smell like leather it does, but at first it smells real bad. After a couple of hours, the smell was neutral, and smelled okay/musty. After a few days, it has a hint of leather smell. I wouldn't buy it again because its not the best smell in the world, but it is way better than those tree air fresheners.

I bought a used car back in December from a dealership. The car looked and smelled brand new inside. It was obvious that the car had been thoroughly detailed (inside and out) and I thoroughly enjoyed that new leathery smell. But, just two months later, that new car smell is gone. I was bound and determined to find out what product the dealership used to detail the interior, so I did a lot of Googling and found some good reviews of Griot's Garage Leather Scent and decided to give it a try. First, this stuff smells exactly like what the dealership used in my car, a sweet "leathery" smell. Love it!! So, today I sprayed two squirts on each of the front floor mats. Big mistake!! This is some powerfully strong stuff and those four squirts (total) were waaaaay too much. My wife and I ended up driving to work with the windows cracked in hopes to dilute the scent! Next time I'm using just ONE squirt. So, in conclusion, I love this stuff, it quickly brought back that new car leather scent, but be careful about how much you use!

UPDATE: Day two, and the smell of this product has diminished dramatically, almost to the point where I want to spray a little more in the car.

UPDATE: The smell doesn't really last that long. A few days at best. And I noticed that after the initial (overpowering) leather scent fades away, you're left with a strange chemical smell in the car. Not quite sure how to describe it, but it's not leather and it's not pleasing to the nose. Since I'm not happy with this product, I have since purchased a variety of leather conditioners (that contain a leather scent). I bought a bottle of Poorboys Leather Stuff, Zaino Leather in a Bottle, and Adam's Leather Conditioner. All three smell the same to me, all have a pleasant leather scent. So far I've applied the Zaino on my leather seats and I am very pleased. The scent is not overpowering and it smells very pleasant. After almost a week the scent is still in the car. I can't wait to try the other two products. I'd recommend going this route and NOT buy the Griot's Garage Leather Scent.

This stuff is incredibly strong and then it doesn't really seem to last. I think its fine, but not for me. It doesn't smeel like new car or leather.

This is the closest fragance I've found to new leather seats. I put 3 sprays under each seat. That was TOO much. At first it smelled rather chemically. They the smell mellowed out. The smell was gone in about 4 days. This is a better leather smell than Yankee Candles leather car gel. It was mush more chemically. I may try Yankee Candles leather car hang tag but I think it will smell the same as their car gel. If you do try the car gel, don't hand it on the rear view mirror. The sun will dry it out quickly. Put it on the gear shifter, turn signal/light stalk or under the seat.

After using the leather care spray from Griots and being very impressed from the new leather smell, I figured I would give the air freshener a try. Smells like the cleaner.... like fresh leather interior. You wont be disappointed with this product. Like all Griots products it's good stuff.

I used this part to replace a shorted factory unit in my 2004 Buick Rainier (Trailblazer clone). The job is straightforward, but not easy. Remove the very heavy and bulky seat, remove the seat cover without destroying it or the foam, replace the heater pad, reinstall the seat cover using the god-forsaken hog rings, reassemble.

Regardless of the job itself, this matched perfectly to the OEM wiring. It includes extra hog rings and some cheap hog ring pliers.

The Dealer wanted slightly over 200 dollars for the item and 200 dollars to install the seat heater. I got another dealer to do the work for 150 dollars. The savings was significant becaused I purchased the item on Amazon.

Husky Liners Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set Reviews

I bought the husky liner (front and rear row) and weathertech cargo liner for my Lexus RX. I can say the both liners fit 99% on my car. The material of husky are harder than weathertech. I don't know if that gives you a better protection or not. But, the husky packaging makes the liners changed their shapes and makes them only 95% fitting my car. I have to use a heat gun to reform the shape to make it 99% fit. The material of weathertech is soft and can be reformed by folding it with your hand. I believe the Weathertech material is better than the husky. I think this might be the reason that weathertech is about 30-40% more expensive.

Since the material of the weathertech is soft, I can access to my hidden cargo storage area easily by simply folding the cargo liner. I don't think husky can give you an easy access. I am glad that I bought the weathertech cargo liner.

But, husky gives you the protection on your foot rest area in your driver seat. Also, husky has a full coverage on your passenger side. On the other hand, weathertech only gives you half coverage on your driver and passenger foot rest areas. This is the reason I picked husky for my floor liners. The husky rear seat floor liners also gives your better coverage than weathertech. I would recommand the husky if you want the coverage. But, you will need a heat gun to re-shape the liners to provide a better fitting.

Also, you may need to cut some of the ridges on the back of husky liners. They put the ridges all over the liner and that is not bad. The ridges would poke on the edges of the car floor and make the liners wouldn't fit well. It will take some time to remove those ridges.

Overall, I give 4 stars on both the husky and weathertech floor liners, but 3 stars on husky cargo liner and a 5 on weathertech.

Compared Weathertech and Husky and finally ordered Husky because :

1. Found these 30% cheaper on Amazon

2. Liked the design

3. Full coverage for foot rest

Husky fits on 95% on the edges. So I had to step the edges (for about 2-3 mins) to slightly flatten them and then they fitted very well. I still liked my Lexus default mats a lot and wanted to keep those on top of the liners and the problem was the hooks/ridges in the car which won't fit in the liners. Although the picture on Amazon shows the cut to fit into the hooks but it wasen't the case.

I would probably find a way to cut the liners and try and fit them. Giving them 4 starts for this problem, but overall very good quality.

Best Deals for Husky Liners Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set

I wanted something which will take on the brutal Chicago snow but did'nt want to spend 200 bucks on something that i keep my feet on :). I got the liners for the front and rear seats for a little over 100 bucks (from Amazon and not 3rd party) . These liners are pretty rigid in the construction quality and are a good fit for my RX though i wouldnt say that they are a 100% fit. The ends need to wrap out a little and i am waiting for a nice 90+ degree heat in chicago .Throw them in the sun for a couple of days and they should become supple enough to become a 100% fit. People say that they are not a flexible as the weathertech (agreed that weathertech is the gold standard) but they do the job well and will definitely last as much. Buy them if you want quality as well as value for money.

I bought this hoping that it would work in my similar car, but the buckle in my car did not fit into the extender latch. The buckle on the extender fit into the car latch fine. The company was very nice and responsive to work with and found me a special extender that did work, but it was about twice the cost of the original.

These are fine seat covers---the material is nice, although as another reviewer stated, they do collect the pooch hair. The reason for the 3 stars is that with a "custom" set of covers, I expected them to fit better than they did. It was very hard to stretch them over the seat in some areas, and in other areas the seat actually still shows a little. The head rest covers do not fit my vehicle either. I can get them on (I tried them both ways) with difficulty, but there's no way they'll actually velcro in the middle like they were designed to. I've resorted to tucking the flaps in and just leaving them like that.

I have a leather purse that continually picks up dye from dark denim, despite numerous washings of said jeans. I had used other leather cleaners that worked just okay, but there was always some residual dye left on the purse. I purchased this leather cleaner for the exact same reason another reviewer did the dye from a pair of my jeans rubbed off on my brand new $300 purse. I did some brief research online and settled on Chamberlain's Leather Milk in hopes of removing the discoloration. I did a small test spot on the backside of the strap and after seeing it dried clear, went to work on my purse. In less than 5 minutes, with minimal effort, the dye was out. I'm thrilled with how well it worked and highly recommend it.

I purchased the #2 straight cleaner as well as the #1 Leather liniment and used both on two pairs of $400 To Boot Italian dress shoes. I made the mistake of using the #2 Straight cleaner on the shoes and that discolored the brown shoes and made them noticeably lighter. I tested the #2 cleaner on an inconspicuous area and it was fine but then cleaned the whole shoe with it and that was a mistake. The #2 cleaner made the leather really clean and soft but discolored the brown shoes. If I could do it over again I would just use only the #1 Leather liniment and then just pre-brush the shoes with a horse hair brush. The liniment is amazing and I used it on my leather dining room chairs and they look new. Then I used it on my leather seats in my car and they looked great too. I don't know what the main application of the #2 straight cleaner is but I'm a little gun-shy now so I'll just stick with the leather liniment.

I also wanted to compliment this company on their amazing attention to customer service and level of care they showed to me. Someone from their company actually personally reached out to me to see how I liked the product without me sending them an email first. I told him about my issue with the #2 straight cleaner and he not only gave me some great info on re-dyeing my brown shoes but he also processed a refund for me and I didn't even request it at all. I will continue buying the Leather liniment and then try the straight cleaner on something else that isn't as valuable to me. This is just my experience and I hope it helps someone make an informed decision.

It would seem based on other reviews that this isn't a scam or just water, instead, it's a very delicate cleaner. I wouldn't call it the best leather cleaner. I tried it on several surfaces including a wingback chair, desk chair, an Eames knock-off and leather car seats.

The surfaces that weren't that dirty came clean well. Although these likely would have come clean with a damp cloth, the chamberlains was probably good for the leather.

The surfaces that were dirtier didn't come completely clean but did improve slightly.

I ended up having to go over the car seats with Meguiar's gold class cleaner which did a much better job and didn't appear to do any harm to the softness and texture of the seats.

I went over the ottoman chair with a cheap store bought strong cleaner which did a much better job for much less.

Maybe in conjunction with their other chamberlains' products you would achieve better results. For the cost though, I wouldn't buy more to test that theory.

These look neat, but the black fades in the sun after only a few days to a reddish/brown color. I think that most of the seat covers of this type do that though, so it's really just a matter of how much you like the pattern. The pattern does look in person just like it does in the online picture. I would not recommend these for a car that has pets in it or a lot of rough use as the material seems like it would easily rip. It's fine for my car which I only use to commute and rarely have any passengers.

I've had this Dockers black leather jacket for over 4 years now. It was starting to get faded all over. I live in the freezing north so it got a TON of use. Mostly faded on the shoulders and arms and back. And I use a backpack for college everyday so I had these lines from the straps of the backpack.

Anyway, this product worked WONDERFUL! I buy amazon all the time and never leave feedback but I really wanted others to know about this since I searched all over and there's tons of products.

I have a big jacked, XL, and this bottle was plenty, I actually have a bunch left over. I was worried I might have had to buy 2 bottles, but I only used about 1/2 for the whole jacket.

Not only did it make my jacked uniformly black but it made it shiny again. I used it last night so I cant say if it will last super long, but it actually stains it so I don't see it coming off anytime soon. Thanks Black Jacket! HAHA!

Update: Its been about a month and it rained and snowed a couple of times, it still looks brand new again, nothing seems to be fading or wearing off. Im amazed at how this product works. Thanks again :)

Update #2 (4/7/2011): Its been over a year now, The jacket still looks great! I still have half a bottle of this stuff stored away if I ever need it but I suspect it will last alot longer :) Very happy :)

This product shipped during cold weather and came frozen. It got grainy but still worked. I am disappointed that it was grainy and the grain is felt on the coat. I would have returned it if I would have known this. After submitting this review the Pacific Leather Works company sent me a new bottle and explained how to remove the grain on my coat even though this was a shipping problem. I was not expecting this type of service and am very impressed that they stand behind their product. I am extremely satisfied and would certainly recommend this company and product. It is great to know there are companies out there that provide such great customer service!

I have a black 3/4 length jacket that was about to be discarded.

I gave the Black Jacket One Step product a try.

It worked as advertised and has very little odor. The coat looks new!

The only issue it only comes with one plastic glove so my other hand took on some of the color.

With some scrubbing my hand is also good as new. The company should supply another glove.

I would use this product again and I do recommend it.

When I ordered this I was skeptical that it would work but it really does indeed work exactly as advertised. However, I would recommend going to your local Dollar Tree and picking up a pack of latex gloves and sponge (similar to the one they include). It will cost you $2 plus tax and make using this product much less frustrating.

The only thing I will say is when I first got this I just wanted to get rid of a small scuff on a double breasted black leather top coat that I've had for 15 years. If you use this product on your jacket then you're committed to redoing the whole coat. However, the end result is absolutely stunning.

I buy, restore, and resell leather products (mostly purses) so I use Black Jacket almost every day. It's a wonder product! It dyes and restores sheen to leather regardless of how worn or old it is. One bottle lasts me about 6 large purses, so it's quite affordable for how much use you get out of it. I clean my leather (if it needs it), wait for it to dry, then apply Black Jacket the next day. I wait a day between coats (I usually use two coats on items that were not black originally. YES, this will dye other colors to black!) and then apply conditioner to heal and seal the leather. Boom, done. I couldn't run my business without this product. Viva la Black Jacket!
