The reason I bought this cargo cover was to hide the contents in the back of the Fit. The big problem here is that the cover does not hide the contents. There are gaps in both the front (between the seat and cover) and the back (between the window and cover). If you are just walking by the car fairly quickly you won't notice whats inside however if you stop to look you can easily peer into the 'gap' and see the contents. I also tried looking in at night with a keychain LED flashlight and can easily tell what is inside. I did a Google search on the 2012 Fit cargo cover to make sure I had everything installed correctly. What I found out is that they changed the design this year to allow the gaps for whatever reason. If you really want a cover I would recommend getting a custom one professionally installed. I ended up returning the product to the seller and got a full refund. A blanket in the back gets the job done if you really need to cover something and is much more portable.

I was about to buy this cargo cover and I read all the issues with gaps and knew there had to be a solution. Well besides reclining your seats and staying with the 2013 model, you can buy the older version (2009 or so) and not only will it fit in your 2013 but it also has flaps that will cover any gaps between the seat and cover. I don't know of any other differences but it fit just fine for me.

The 2012 model 08U35-TK6-111 did not come with the so called snaps and backing that you have to install to the back of the seats. (this would fill the gap)

Yes there is a 3 inch or so gap between the back seats and this Cargo cover. I cannot understand why they designed it with a gap. I think that having the snaps would get annoying when I wanted to fold my seats down. My 1989 Toyota Corolla FX had one of these cargo covers and it fit just like this one did but there were no gaps.

Besides that small gap back there it covers the rest. I will be tinting the windows and even without the windows tinted you can not really see between the gap from the outside to see what is in the "trunk". I got this cover to cover the rear and protect from heat and prying eyes. For the price it should of covered the entire area. I can not see a design reason for it not extending in the back 3 more inches.

Because I will be tinting the windows in the end this will work out very nicely for me as extra protection for the sun and prying eyes. Some aftermarket company needs to come out with one that extends 3 more inches and for half the price and they would make a killing.

I also thought I had not installed the cargo cover correctly, with at least a 2-3 inch gap between the back seat and the cover. I reclined the seats back a bit and it fits closer but not enouogh. I also recommend a blanket to fill in the gaps. Also you cannot raise the cover from the trunk side as it is too big to fold back. But better than nothing. Looking for something else that fits better.

I received the cargo cover today and I guess even after reading the prior reviews i am still underwhelmed. It works as described even if you have to adjust the inclination of the back seats to reduce the gap. What bothers me most is even for the $120 that I paid it is overpriced. The cargo cover does not seem to be of real high quality. What's even worse is that my local Honda dealer was asking for $190. That is waaayyyyyy too much!

80 Jeep scrambler. No top during the summer means lots of exposure to sun, rain, dirt, etc. They are holding up well with only slight fading (black is getting a bit faded). I did not use any protective coating sprays so if they do not hold up, it would be my own fault. Love them :-)

Pretty and well made but does not fit a dodge stratus at all. The back seat cover is unusable. The fronts sort of fit but constantly slide off. And the securing tabs provided appear to be for decoration only.

I bought these Heart seat covers for my car because I had just bought a new car. These are really cute seat covers, and seem to be pretty good quality, but one pretty BIG disappointment is that they do not fit my 2006 Ford Taurus. I can get the seat covers ON my seats fine enough, but there is no way to secure them properly. Unfortunately, I got really busy and was unable to try and return these for a refund within the proper amount of time, so I have no idea if the company is good at returns or not. Like I said, these are really cute seat covers and the colors on the picture are pretty true-to-life, they just don't fit my car.

I had some expectations that were left short by what I consider minor design flaws.

If this was a cheap knock off product they wouldn't bother me so much, but from a Honda Genuine part, at this price, I was shocked.

Pros:

Custom Fit

Material

Doesn't interfere with seat folding operation.

Cons:

Difficult to install and uninstall

Design Flaws IMO:

The back of the seats are not protected.

The back pieces of the seat cover, attach to the back and bottom of the seat using velcro. The issue is every time you undo the velcro it frays the back of your seat. If you repeatedly remove these seat covers over a couple of years, the seats will become so frayed that the velcro won't stick, not to mention they will look terrible.

Recommendation:

Treat the seat covers as permanent. Install them and forget them, don't plan on removing them unless you absolutely have to. This will minimize the seat back damage caused by the velcro.

I have the new 2013 CRV 2wd LX model. Received my package today. 6 lb package came in a brown cardboard box. Opened and the seat covers not packaged in any additional plastics or boxing. No instructions, but they're not needed as you make the individual pieces fit. I installed this myself. You don't need another person. It does take some manipulation to get the covers on there and it looks really nice. 2 seat covers have the CRV emblem, and I like that. Material is like thick scuba suit material. The material makes my son's carseat a bit slippery, so I put a little cloth down under and it's great. It fits like a glove and I know it'll provide the protection I was looking for when I ordered it. Love it. Thanks Honda, I love this product. The seller was really prompt and I received it a few days ahead of time. All around very happy with this.

The seat covers were much thicker than I expected. Great quality. They were well marked so it was easier for me to install them. Jasper (my dog) loved the seat covers and I love the fact that my car is protected.

Product description is a little off, it's says no cutting is required, but they don't come with any kind of precut slot for the head rest to go back in, so....they tell me to take a "pencil" and spread the material, needs a presewed slot for the headrest!

Very little of the cover is gray. The majority is light brown. Take a look at the black cover and you'll see what I mean.

Wow, such a bargain for the price! I installed them on a Toyota RAV4 and they worked out great. Never did figure out two little extra pieces but didn't need them anyway. The head rest fit isn't "tight" but with a "universal" it's hard to get that. The zippered sections allows me to zip them up when no ones riding back there and just unzip for pax. Very satisfied and even pleased!

This thing is complete garbage!!! Do not order it. I was five minutes into installing it, the zipper exploded, pieces went everywhere, and it was un-installable. It is now in the trash. I always say you get what you pay for, well here is another reminder for me. It would be quicker to just throw the twenty dollar bill in the trash. Order something a little more expensive and better quality.

I have tried all sorts of mats to protect my SUV seats from our messy kids. This was a cheap alternative to buying three Prince Lionheart Protectors (http://www.amazon.com/Prince-Lionheart-Stage-Seat-Protection/dp/B0077KMZRW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1375215904&sr=8-2&keywords=Prince+Lionheart+Two+Stage+Car+Seat+Protection), and it provides better protection when kids climb in and out of rear-facing carseats. And I don't have to remove anything to make an adult comfortable!

It did take about 30min to install on the middle row of my Chevy Traverse, but it's a nice fit. The extra zipper pieces for the 40/60 split are awesome. My seats still fold perfectly. I made a minor modification by stitching on a couple of extra elastic loops to get a tighter fit on the seat cushion at the back corner. There is also a great video on how to install this (search YouTube for FH seat covers).

What you need to know:

It will look to narrow for your SUV, but it stretches.

This is cloth, not leather/vinyl. It is decently soft and reminds me of neoprene diving gear. Not indestructible, but not super thin either.

You must be able to lift up your seat or reach under to thread some straps through.

It will not be super pretty on the back side of the seat. Cover extends about 8in over the back of mine.

You will need to remove your headrests (and this can be a pain if you have a newer vehicle). I had to locate a locking pin and turn it to get mine off.

Make small slits with scissors to stretch over the headrest holes. A quarter inch was enough for mine, and you can't even see where they're tucked!

Pay attention to which part is the back and which part is for the bottom. They're not the same size! (This is also true of the extra mesh zipper pieces.)

Overall, this is a great product at a good price. I'm buying a second one for my third row.

This product is exactly what it should be.....a UNIVERSALseat cover. I am the type that will read reviews before I purchase a product and if the reviews aren't good I won't purchase. I'm so happy a purchased this product despite the bad reviews. I didn't expect this product to fit my seats perfectly, but it gets the job done. I have a Nissan Versa Hatchback so it was pretty simple to install. I took one glance at the instructions and toss it to the side. I also didn't have to take my seats apart. The back rest part of the seat all I did was weave the strap through the seat and tucked in the sides. For the bottom part I simple just tucked it in around the edges. It has been a couple of weeks now, and everything is still in place. The zippers are a cool feature because my seats come down separately. I would without a doubt recommend this product to anyone, install was super easy and product is made good. Also it only took me about 15 minutes to install, it would have took me less time, but it was raining and I had just got my hair did that morning so I had an umbrella in my hands trying not to get wet.
