The covers are a pain in the butt to try and latch under your seats. I have a 2012 Honda Civic and the covers came with strings and pins that they wanted me to somehow connect underneath my seat. It was practically impossible. Every time I would push my seat forward of backwards one or more would pop off. So now their just sitting over the seats and when I get in and out of the car I have to constantly fight with them to fix them. I didn't even put the one on the back seat, it was more aggravating than the front ones.

Like other reviewers on here, I too was tired of those cheap, flimsy roll-up sunshades. So when I purchased my new car earlier this year, I was determined to get a nice one for it, with cost not an issue. I checked around and the Covercraft seemed to fit the bill. The overall contruction is excellent and very well made. There's even a soft, felt-like lining on the inside to avoid scratching the dash. And that is my only complaint with the sunshade. If you have a black dash like I do, the grey felt material "sheds" from the daily folding and unfolding, leaving small particles on the dash that need to be wiped away weekly. True, this is a minor quibble and certainly not a deal-breaker. With that being the case, I wholeheartedly recommend Covercraft to anyone looking for a premium sunshade.

First I will say, as others said theirs was the wrong size...I have two, both for Accords (91 & 05) and they both fit perfectly and fill up the entire windshield. The only spot that isn't covered is where the rear view mirror is, there is a cutout on the sun shade, and some sun gets through there, but not much. It totally protects the dash board and some of the interior from the sun quite well. And This is the only one I know of that is sturdy like it is.

I tried other custom fit windshield shades in the Florida, Texas and Southern California heat and they would start sagging and fall out of place in the window before even one year of use. then they were not as effective. NOT THE COVERCRAFT! It is thick and sturdy material compared to the other brands. I've only gone through a few weeks of over 100 degree days with it so far, but it's holding up like no other ever did, and I think it will last years if not forever without sagging like the others. Also because it is thick and sturdy, it blocks out more heat and insulates much better than any of the others I tried. I am guessing that the quality will last the lifetime of the vehicle. Time will tell, and I will update after a couple years of use. I recommend it if you are in an extremely hot climate. I also recommend it over the other brands I have tried including Heats****d. I wish I would have known about the Covercraft before buying the others.

I have used Garmin for years. Have always preferred the friction mounts over the suction cups. Hesitated to pay extra for the friction mount but very glad I did. Much prefer the convenience of moving it easily off the dash. I live in Arizona and do not like leaving the Garmin in the sun. The friction mounts makes it easy to get the Garmin off the dash and into the shade. Also makes rental car set up a breeze -program in the address before you leave home, toss it on the rental car dash, and go.

I bought this for my work truck, 2009 Silverado WT. It holds all my stuff and keeps it from being a box of mixed junk. It is heavy, rugged, and well made. It matches the interior well and is a decent arm rest. The cup holders are non-adjustable and too small to keep tall bottles securely. The cup holders do protrude into the dashboard area as previously mentioned, making getting things in and out of that part a bit tight, but not impossible. It is belted onto my seat, but still has a tendency to tip when I lean on it to get in (maybe I'm just whining here). I keep a box of nitrile gloves, a day planner, tissues, wallet, tape measure, calculator, sunglasses, phone, phone charger, pens, flashlight, hat, etc. in there it holds a lot!

This had me fairly excited when I first opened it, because it's very large, and was just was I was looking for. However, after "installing" it, I noticed it had some short comings that made it a good console, but definitely not great. A few improvements, and this thing could be better than many factory consoles.

CONS first.

The strap on the underside which accepts the seat belt (to hold the unit in place) is too small to accept a regular seatbelt. This was the first obstacle that was a huge problem, and could have been fixed with the slightest of testing. If they had taken some design tips from the baby car seats, they could have come up with a rock solid solution instead, they chose a backward solution that was easy and cheap.

The main compartment flap opens towards the front of the vehicle, which is opposite of any console ever made. They did this so you could have a notepad on the reverse side which could be written on great idea, except the flap doesn't even come close to going to the flat [writable] position without breaking the hinge. I think they also did this because most would be installing this on a bench seat which would not allow the flap to come to a resting rear position. Its hard to tell if this is a design fail, or well thought out solution. The negative here though is that you can't write anything on the notepad design that is claimed in the description. When I tried, the wood and hinge starting crackling like it was going to break.

It has some plastic "storage" compartments inside, and I'm not sure what a few of them do. One of them is either for about six cassettes (yes, tapes) or three CDs. Yikes. I would prefer that space just be forfeited to the larger space.

PROS:

This thing is big. It has a large compartment, a smaller compartment (both with top "flaps"), and then two drink holders which are very well positioned, and a couple of random small change/key holders, etc. Very cool design overall.

It's long enough for any seat. I have a Ford Expedition with the bench seat, and this hangs over an inch or two, couldn't ask for a much better fit without it being custom. BTW, I got the black option, and it is all black... looks good, not cheap. People don't even notice its aftermarket.

Final thoughts:

Other than the few design flaws, this is a good console. The seat belt strap drives me wild, because I can't imagine any seatbelt I own that will fit through the provided loop. Because of this, the console isn't held down tight and I had to rig up something with zip ties... this is why I'm giving this 3 stars. For the price I paid, this should be rock solid. My big drinks at the front of the unit cause everything to tip forward, and if not checked, the whole unit will slide off the front.

For future consoles How about a 12V cig lighter input on the outside of this, so there could be a plug on the inside, like most factory consoles? I really miss that, but didn't expect to see it in aftermarket stuff.

UPDATE (after about 3 weeks of ownership):

I've upgraded this to four stars because the console, overall, is very good. Once I became accustomed to it, I don't want a fixed console anymore. This console is sturdy, and I have come to love the way the compartments are laid out. Someone saw it yesterday and demanded I tell them how they could buy one, ASAP. For the money, although expensive, I think this console is the best out there.

I purchased the "rear floor mat" at the same time as I purchased the "front floor mats". I bought this for the rear of my 2008 Silverado Crew Cab and it fits *perfectly*!! There is *some* cutting required but you can do it simply with a pair of scissors, it's not a highly sensitive job. If you happen to own a Silverado (New Body Style) then the only "cutting" you need to do is right at the base of the "front center console/seat", simply "cut-out" the little "nitch" and off you go, it's practically "marked" for you! The price is a little steep, but the products are superb!! This rear mat covers my entire floor beautifully and has deep enough trays that all the debris (snow, mud, rain, dirt, etc...) stay IN the mat and NOT on my floors! This product is HIGHLY recommended!!

The floor mat fit pretty nice after trimming the center section.

It does leave some exposed carpet at the edges by the doors. This area will get stepped on by the kids every time they crawl into the back seat. A lip that extends over to the plastic trim would be really nice.

This floor liner fits the back of my crew cab silverado perfectly. Total protection from the elements and it looks good doing it.

The only problem I have is with cleaning. It's nearly impossible to remove the liner for cleaning with out spilling sand and dirt all over the back floor due to its size. You need to vacuum it first (unlike the front individual liners that can be lifted out without spilling). I've mostly remedied this by using the using the factory all weather floor mats on top of the liner. They do a good job of collecting most of the dirt.

So far I like it, but don't love it. The fit is relatively good but I did expect a little better for the price. It's no Line-X bedliner but the material seems strong enough for what I expected. There are some gaps on the sides by the doors and the lip sticks up right before the floor dips down to meet the sill so it looks kind of awkward but I'm sure it's designed like that to keep the liquid stuff in the liner and not leaking under the trim panel. Time will tell so if anything gets crazy, I'll update the review.

Product was complete with mount hardware. Took about 40min. Each as you may encounter bolts that may snap or round off, which will require a cutting torch to loosen stuck bolts or grind bolt flat then use a center punch and drill out the bolt, use torch to warm and use E/Z out. If E/Z out doesn't work, drill out bolt to mounting bolt size and get lock washers and the proper size nut and sandwich the assebly together. Awsum ride now!

I haven't had a subwoofer in a vehicle since about 1990, and it was not that impressive since it was in a homemade box and under powered. I wanted something that would be loud, sound good, and perform well. I may have over done it a bit :). This is my second one. I bought one 3 years ago and within about the first 18 months, it faded and the vinyl parts peeled away. If not for the great price and the fact that I have all the other accessories, I wouldn't have purchased a replacement.

Had this steering wheel cover until it was shredded. The Ed Hardy logo is stitched on, but the fish are just plastic decals that (like other reviewers mentioned) did not like the sun after a while. I had this cover for probably a year and a half and it looked pretty bad by the time we tossed it. The black had worn to a lightish gray after about 9 months of use.

The biggest complaint I had about this cover (aside from the sticky fish, ew) was that it didn't fit quite snug enough on my steering wheel (I had a 2006 Eclipse). If you're a little OCD like me and need to have the seam at the bottom, I wouldn't recommend this to you. If you don't care about that and are just worried if it will affect your driving performance, don't worry. It didn't bother my driving, although it was a bit distracting how it would shift just a little depending on if you put your hand on the spot where it was loose. It was also a pain for me to put on, but maybe you have stronger hands than me. :)

For the record, this steering wheel cover and the mats that went with it were bought for my car, but that car ended up being shared between myself and my husband. I loved the fact that the orange in the fish matched the orange of my car, but he hated the steering wheel cover from the first time he drove with it. If he was writing this review he probably would give it a one. I would probably give it a two and a half or a three, so I'm rating it as a two.

I bought these from my Kia Sorento. I wouldn't consider them luxury. I have had them for a couple of weeks. I find that they don't stay on well. The constant getting in and out of the vehicle causes them to slide off. The back seat cover covers up the latch for the seat belts. The head rests on my car seats don't seem to be removable so I actually sliced the seam on the top to slide it over my head rests. The material is pretty decent for the price, a thin faux leather. My seats are cloth and I have kids that ride in the car and I was hoping to make the seats last a little longer. I don't think these covers will last a long time. I'm hoping for a year and then I might be able to afford more expensive ones that fit better.

Fits well for universal but I got it to help prevent hair build up from my Heeler. She tore the seat cover with the first ride. She's a well travels dog so she's not hyper in the car nor does she has long nails, she's well manicured. Just caught the seam of it.

One Step Ahead Car Seat Protector for Upholstery Review

I bought this to protect a light beige leather interior. The protector fit reasonably well, and the pouches at the bottom of the protector were nice to store toys in. I removed the protector after about 5 days of having it in because I was moving the car seat to another car. When the protector was removed the black dye used on the non-slip base of the protector had transferred to my beige leather seats. Ironically the seat protector had done more damage to the interior than anything that it protected against would have done. Tried several different leather cleaners and the stains will not go away. I will most likely have to have the leather re dyed. There were no problems with the interior prior to using this product; it is a late model car and the leather interior is regularly conditioned.

In any case if you are planning on using this to protect leather interiors, this is not the product for you.

We have a minivan with 3 children in carseats. I ordered these to protect the seats from dirt, juice, food, etc. I tried a couple of others first and have found these to offer the best overall coverage of the seat. I found the picture to be an accurate representation of coverage. The seat itself is covered while the seatback is more like 2/3-3/4 covered. The front flap covers the seat front where the kids climb in and out so that is a big help, plus the little storage pockets are nice too. There is no coverage for the sides of the seat or seatback but I could not find others that offered more coverage. They seem to be doing a good job protecting the seats. Would recommend to a friend.

Over all we are satisfied with what we pay for. We got this to protect our black leather seats. Got a letter from One Step Ahead saying some people complained about the dark dye staining the seat... guess we can't tell if it does on our seats or not since we have black leather.

Overall it works for us.. My baby who still sitting rear-facing likes to kick the seat and since this cover has no straps he could have damage the leather, but we always take his shoes off before getting him into the car seat so we are not worried about the seat being dirty..
