I purchased a legitimate ELM 327 (you can't tell by looking at it except that the bootleg device says ELM 327 "V1.5" the legitimate device says "ELM 327" with no reference to a version number there is only one legitimate version) and it worked straight away.

Excellent fit, custom as stated. However, material feels very cheap. The custom mats I have for my Highlander aren't fitted as these, but the material appears to be of better quality. However, the mats are very light. Another excellent feature is that it traps liquid really, really well. I could image how well they'll hold up in the snow. Lastly, the mats have lifetime warranty and the company has been around for a while so no need to worry about bankruptcy. I believe that if something were to go wrong you simply return them to Amazon for an exchange. Again, I think this is the process. At end of the day I think the mats are worth the money.

Very nice product from Scotchgard. Does what it says. My daughter spilled coke on the seat and this product actually prevented the coke being absorbed in to the fabric and just enough time to wipe it away with towels. This product does prevent the spillage form being absorbed immediately into the fabric and gives you just about enough time so that you can brush the spillage off the seats or use towels to get rid of them.

The dealer will charge you about $300 for a car treatment, but it's supposed to last forever. Not sure how much faith I put into that. The Scotchguard instructions say that this should be applied every three months. I've only had my new car for a few weeks, and immediately treated it. Thankfully, there haven't been any spills in that time frame. Previous Scotchguard treatments have been positive, so I don't see why this wouldn't be.

Coverage is listed as being one can per row of the car. You must give two coats for optimum protection. I ended up using 1.5 cans for the second row and front seats, since the Honda Pilot doesn't have a bench seat up front.

The heavy chemical smell will last 2-3 days, fading slowly over that time period. So if you're a person that is highly reactive to chemical smells, you're best saving this treatment for a period when you can leave your windows open and really air the vehicle out.

UPDATE 1/10/12: Coming back from the grocery store the other night, my daughter and her friend had ice cream in the car. One of them dropped their chocolate chips onto the seat and sat on them for a while, making a bunch of nice streaks on the seat. I used some Griot's Garage 11104 Interior Cleaner 35 oz. on the seat, and a couple applications later, there was no evidence of the chocolate. Overall I'm very impressed with the product, and happy that I don't have chocolate stains on my seat!

When shopping for a new car recently I was looking for a leather or leather-like interior to resist spills and what not due to having a toddler (with another on the way). For the particular model I was looking at, it would have cost me way more than I'd like to spend just to get the seats I wanted because of automatic package upgrades for the vehicle. I looked into a more reasonably priced package (one with cloth seats) to save some cash and decided I'll just have to buy car seat covers. My uncle suggested I just get Scotchgard, and I'm thankful for his suggestion! I still ordered seat covers but they weren't scheduled to come in for some time so I got Scotchgard as a backup just in case any spills happened. And of course, spills did happen and were easy to clean up! I cleaned the spills up pretty quickly after it occurred so I couldn't say how the product performed after the liquid was sitting there, but Scotchgard allowed me enough time to grab a towel and soak it up before it began to settle into the upholstery. It worked so well that I will be looking into Scotchgarding the upholstery in my house! In a home with children, this is a must for your car (if you want to keep your sanity)!

This stuff works great, I was looking to spray something on my seats after I got them steam cleaned, this stuff works great and dries pretty quick. After I sprayed my seats with stuff and got them a little dirty, the dirt just comes right off without leaving a stain.

Yep, they do seem like cheap quality. But the front seats look nice according to my friends. and it does match nicely. The back seat covers are another story, you will need to spend time working it in and make some modifications for the seat belt lower buckle. I am please for now, but I just got them, now the true test will be how long to they last until they wear out or break. I guess you get what you pay for, but for the price and the amount of stuff you get, you cant beat it, floor mats alone are 30 to 40 bucks. the steering wheel cover is comfortable.

I am so sad! I have been eyeing these Betty Boop seat covers for quite a while now. On September 9th I bought a new car and bought it in RED just to match the seat covers I knew I wanted! The very next day I ordered the seat covers and awaited their arrival. I received them and was very excited to put them on the car. They looked FANTASTIC! They are nicely cushioned and seem to be made out of great material! BUT within the first week, the one on the drivers side completely ripped at the seem!!! I tried to do an exchange online and Amazon said they would only let me return it (at my cost). Well I want them, I just don't want them ripped. So I decided to keep them and figured my butt would cover the rip anyways. Well 2 weeks ago we went on a road trip and from having a passenger in my car, the passenger seat one completely ripped at the seems as well! Now it looks terrible!!! I am so disappointed and think I'm going to write and send pictures to the makers. There is no reason to spend $50 on something that can't even last a week! :(

UPDATE: I am changing my review to a 5 star for the manufacturer customer service. I emailed plasticolor and they responded within 20 minutes and are UPSing a brand new pair without question! THAT'S SERVICE!

These DO NOT fit a 2011 Dodge NITRO as claimed. The Nitro does not have removeable headrests and the opening on the headrest will not go over them without ripping, then you will have to sew the tear yourself after you get them on. ALSO very cheap material, the one I put on the paswsenger seat has already split at the bottom seat seam in the back where you sit on it. If you want something that will not fit good, will last about 2 months and costs upward of $50 Then these are for you, if you want seat covers for your Nitro that look nice and last pay a little more and do not buy these !!!!! I will leave these on through winter and pull them off just before spring and spend the extra money like I should have for better seat covers and forget the Betty Boop crap. HOPEFULLY they don't fall completely apart before winter is over.

We got this extender because the backseat of our Saturn Vue is just SLIGHTLY too small for the required seats for our 3 children and it would be impossible for my 5 year old to buckle himself into his booster without it.

HOWEVER: He has a fairly standard booster seat, and this 8" extender is too long for his seat. Obviously it's my own fault for not measuring and it still works, but I'd recommend paying close attention to how long you need your extender. I wish we'd ordered a 6" one instead. But this one still works.

ALSO: It took a few attempts to get this securely attached the first time we used it. For a moment i thought maybe they'd sent me the wrong buckle size, but i checked and it was correct so i forced in in a little harder and it finally worked. Doesn't snap in quite as easily as the regular seat belt male end does. But once you get it plugged in properly it works great! Just what we needed! Now when baby #3 is born in a few weeks i have peace of mind knowing that ALL my kids will be safe in our tiny car.

I purchased this extender for my 2012 Honda Accord, to use with my oldest's booster seat. With three car seats jammed into the back of my car, we needed something that would enable her to buckle herself without having to cram her hand between the seats. I made sure to measure the tongue of the seatbelt that I intended to use with the extender before ordering to make sure I was ordering the correct size, as the product description instructed to do. When it arrived, I immediately took it out to my car to install it, but it seems that the tongue is too short. I tried it in the other two buckles, hoping one of them would work but no such luck.

I called customer service to find out the best way to return the extender and the representative was very nice and helpful, and I was told that they didn't carry an extender for my car that would work in the middle seat. I feel that customers should be encouraged to call customer service BEFORE ordering so that they can avoid the hassle of returning and waiting for a refund.

(Edited to add: I gave 3 stars because I feel that the reviews on Amazon shoukd reflect not only the product, but its description as well. I took the necessary steps to make sure I bought the right product, as the description instructed me tondo, but that clearly wasn't enough. I was pleased with customer sevice, but I don't think this product quite meets a 5 star rating.

It seems that some car manufacturers stick to industry standards. I went to the Mazda forums and found out that Mazda makes seat belt extenders for the front seat but not the rear bucket seats. However, many people pointed out that the Rigid Type B extenders work perfectly for the back seat. I would suggest that you pay a visit to you car forums and see what people have to say. After all I'm sure your not the first person with a Honda or a Suburban that has kids. I can say that for an Rx8 this item works perfectly! Cheers!

When I first got these in, they looked awesome, until I couldn't find any directions. All was included inside was the covers and a package of hooks. So I set out trying to hook the seats up underneath the upholstery. The outside of the package wasn't really any help either, it was pretty much do it yourself by eye kind of job. The front fit just fine, there was some spots it wouldn't fit right but I bought universal so it was to be expected. The back didn't fit my huge pontiac bonneville. If your backseats have headrests these won't fit, along with these being made for cars that don't have a 5 passenger car. The back fits three people across, but these seat covers were made for just two in the back. just words of caution. they fit fine in the front, but didn't in the back. For 50 bucks, can't really complain. Although some of the headrests and seats came with rips in them, so I have to rate it a 3 star.

These looked great in the pics and had two positive reviews. So I ordered them. They do look cool but I am not happy with the quality. Both covers ripped during installation. One at a middle seam and the other at the bottom. The packaging insert reminded me of similar covers I have seen at the flea market. I did not expect a custom fit as these are universal covers. But I did expect them to be high quality for $40 plus $11 shipping. If you have a narrow low bucket seat, they would not be stressed as much and should not tear like mine did.

Like you, I came across this looking for a relatively inexpensive car seat cover. I read the reviews and hoped that those with poor reviews simply had high expectations. Sadly, I was disappointed. Installation was pretty simple on the front seats, though one elastic cord did just rip right out of the seam when trying to tie underneath the seat. The back seat was very difficult to install and a poor fit. When stretching the fabric (not even very hard) the under layer (foam) ripped several times but didn't go to outer layer, so I wasn't really concerned. Even with the poor fitting back seat I was happy with the finished look.

Now, only 1 week later, I have already had the driver's seat cover rip. Just from sliding out of the seat, the whole back seam ripped out. Now it won't stay put and I have to constantly readjust it prior to sitting.

Bottom line:

Invest in better quality seats. These are of the lowest quality. the synthetic leather layer is paper thin, almost like it was painted on. and the foam is probably 1/8 inch thick and not dense at all. If you want something to cover seats in a broken down car, these are for you. If you want something to cover your seats and last more than a week, these don't make the cut. Save your money and buy something better.

Just a heads up, this item has a confusing description.

Even though the item description says "With Charger", it doesn't come with a charger. I contacted the seller and they pointed me to the content description, which doesn't mention a charger as their explanation for the discrepency.

If it had a charger, it would be 5 stars and if they had not included the content description, I'd give it 1 star. So between the description "With Charger" and the contents description not mentioning a charger, I'll give 3 stars.

Perhaps a better description would be "With Charger Capability".

This is my first car mount and it makes using my GPS so much easier. I love that I can leave the mount plugged into the charger, and don't have to plug and unplug my phone, having cords everywhere. I wish the cord that hooks my phone up to my car radio speaker was also integrated, but it is separate. Still it's so much nicer than having the phone on the passenger's seat.

As one other reviewer noted, this is the exact same dock as its more expensive counterpart, except it does NOT come with a vehicle charger. It comes with an AUX wire for audio, but that's it. If you want to charge your phone while docked in the car, you'll have to buy the charger separately. I'm not even sure why this unit is sold, to be honest.

Regardless, I'm not knocking off a star for the product not having something I think it should have, because holding a product to a standard it doesn't claim to have is ridiculous to me. The one star knock off is because I had one of these mounted to the windshield and I parked my car in the sun for two days in North Carolina and the backing plate (a plastic insert that makes the dock adaptable for both Razr and Razr Maxx) warped in the heat to the point that the bend in the plastic was enough that my phone could no longer mount the charger and function normally. So I had to buy a new one. This is odd to me because the housing plastic did NOT melt whatsoever in the heat, nor did any of the other plastic pieces. So I'm knocking off a star because the plastic insert which makes this dock fit a Razr is made from a cheaper, flimsier plastic than the rest of the unit.

Note to users of the Razr Maxx: you MIGHT be able to buy this vehicle dock and remove the plastic insert and save some money, as I noticed the same vehicle dock for the Maxx is more expensive. Again, you MIGHT be able to get away with this, but I'm not sure, as I haven't tried it out. I can't think of any purpose for the plastic insert which sits in the housing except that the manufacturer wanted to save cost and make one housing for both phones vs. one housing for each type (this is manufacturing 101 use as much crossover parts among various options/models as possible). Regardless, Maxx users try this at your own risk.
